3/15/06 - Yeager is doing great! He is settling in very well and really does not care about my cats much (unless
one runs by outside, then he pays attention!). I have also had him out with my older German Shepherd and he let
him sniff and checked each other out and his little nub was wagging. He also met by bossy boxer girl and was not
bothered by her either, he acted like he wanted to play a little.
Don't let his "serious look" fool you though, he is a goofy boxer boy and likes to play and be loved and petted! He
just has a natural "grumpy face" as I call it, that many boxers have with their wrinkly face and turned up chin. I think
it adds lots of character to him and he starts doing the boxer wiggle when I say "Where's my grumpy face boy?!". :)
Yeager is doing great in his crate too and getting use to the routine for going out. He has lifted his leg in the house
a couple of times, but as soon as I told him no & to go out, he ran for the door. I think that issue will go away with
some more house practice and neutering. He will be going in next week sometime for his neuter, shots and
heartworm test, then he will be ready for his new home!
3/12/06 - Yeager was a stray that a nice Animal Control Officer found and took care of. He would have kept him, but
worked a lot and had several other dogs already. He was very sad to see him go. Yeager is about 2 years old and
has a docked tail and natural ears. So far he seems a little too interested in the cats here, but we will see how that
goes as he settles in some. More updates soon!
