11/16/06 - Tyson has been adopted!
10/29/06 - Hi everybody. This is Tyson. I am very confused right now.... I'm a boxer, I'm two, I'm
still here???? So what is up with that?? I did visit somebody's home for a week, but they thought I was
too energetic?? I'm a boxer, I'm two??? My foster mom says there is absolutely nothing wrong with
me. I am just being a two year old boxer and I should stay just the way I am. I am very curious about
just everything. I don't touch, just sniff. I sniff everything. My foster mom says I give the best boxer
wiggles anywhere. Besides all that I am just drop dead gorgious. I like to run around outside and just
love to take walks. There is a little kitty knocker toy here that I enjoy playing with and I also like balls.
I'm working on learning to play fetch. I do love to take a nice snooze on my doggie chair. I admit I am
a little active sometimes, well especially when you come home and I haven't seen you for awhile. My
foster mom likes me to sit so she can put my leash on but it is very difficult because my butt is going side
to side so fast. We do manage though and out for a walk we go. I have learned alot of new things in
my foster home. I know the word "crate" and I walk right in and turn right around so foster mom can
take off my leash. I know the word "off" and "sit" (well that one comes hard like I said when you first
get home but I am workingon it and have it down pat at other times). I will also gladly "shake" your
paw if you ask. I learn things very quickly and love to cuddle up. I am very anxious to find my forever
home. You are out there right? Please call my foster mom soon I can't wait to go home and snuggle
with you. When you come to get me you will know it is me because I will be the cute one giving your
paw a "shake".
10/4/06 - Tyson went to the vet yesterday. He weighs 59 lbs. He is just a perfect weight. Heart good,
no bumps, tested negative for heartworm. He does have ear mites and conjunctivitis. He was given
meds for his ears and also for his eyes. I had the wash at home so I will wash/rinse his ears tonight and
start his meds when I get home tonight.
Tyson here... Life is great! I am enjoying going for several walks a day and learning that my foster mom
and dad prefer I don't try to pull their arms out of socket. I am learning. It is really hard to walk straight
though. Usually by the time we are turned around to go back home I get it a little better. The resident
"splab" (springer spaniel chocolate lab) CoCo is getting a little more used of me being here and is home
with me today. Today is my first day home alone, well except for my babysitter CoCo. I got the best
part of the deal though. Finally figured out how to open up that crate and get to that peanut butter Kong
mom left in here. Only problem is that now that I'm in here with my scrumptious Kong the door shut
behind me and I can't get out!!! I really hope my foster mom and dad get back soon. I ate a really good
breakfast this morning. My foster mom says she is a good boxer cook and yum yum this mornings
breakfast was just great. She must be pretty smart because I heard her tell CoCo she was a good
"splab" cook too?? Met the cat yesterday. He has claws. Got a good run outside in the fenced in area. I
didn't realize it was there for a minute and foster mom thought I was going to go through it at first, but
now I realize it is there so guess I will have to wait for "Big" the cat to come in there. We did meet nose
to nose yesterday though and I think he will come around to like me just like everybody else does. I
also got to meet the vet's cat yesterday. We ran around the office for a bit but then I had to go in for my
appointment. I was a really really good boy and did everything they told me too. Didn't feel to well for a
little bit after leaving though. Must have been all that poking. I felt better later though. Saw a little Terrier
and that got my mind off my troubles. I like the doggie bed in mom and dads room. It is like a big bean
bag bed and is very comfy. We get up early and that CoCo goes off somewhere with dad on a bike???
I'm hoping I get a turn soon. I've been asking... Got to take a little boxer nap now, after such a big
breakfast, besides I'm getting a little hoarse from howling for mom to come back so guess I'll give it a
little rest for now. Mom says things will get better soon and I'll be all settled in. Talk to you again
soon.....
10/3/06 - Went to pick up little Tyson on Sunday. He is just adorable. A dark brindle with a speck of
white on his nose and a little on his chest and all four of his paws. He is working hard at settling in and
has met his foster sister CoCo. Our CoCo just lost a very dear friend Saturday and is having a little bit
of a time accepting Tyson just yet, but I'm sure it will work out she is usually a social butterfly. Tyson is
a very curious little guy and anxious to sniff just everything. Lots of new things to keep him busy. We
have one house too many and today was the first day he came to the second house to meet with "Big"
my cat. He was very excited. In fact getting him inside the house was a bit of a project. We just kept
making circles outside for a bit but he finally decided to come in and take a look around. When we
went out to check out the fenced in area for a minute I thought he was going to go right through the
fence. "Big" had decided to check him out from the backyard and Tyson caught eyesight of that right
away. So in the house we came and ... well of course "Big" decided he would come in his door to
further check this blur that kept going by out a little closer. They are not best friends yet, but "Big" is
helping me out by teaching Tyson to respect big "brindle" kittys. I am working with Tyson on walking
on his leash. He seems to be picking it up pretty fast. Now if I can just get him to walk in a straight line
I'll be all set. He knows sit, well sometimes. He is anxious to learn though and doing very well. I will
send in another update soon.
10/2/06 - Tyson is an owner surrender due to a divorce in the family. Tyson was surrendered with
Jasmine but they will be finding seperate homes and we believe they will be fine. Tyson is a handsome
boy that rode great in the car. He has been well loved and well cared for. He is just looking for a new
home that he can stay in forever. You won't be disappointed with this boy.
