UPDATE 4/6/12 - Our beautiful little boy, Troy passed away unexpectedly this morning. troy collapsed
while playing outside with Rocco. He will be missed by our family.

UPDATE 12/23/08 - Troy is doing very well. He loves his best buddy Rocco who was adopted a few
months after Troy. A few months ago Troy's parents fenced in the whole back yard so that both dogs
can run and play safely with minimal supervision. Troy has a clean bill of health. Right now he and
Rocco are curled up on the coach sleeping.

UPDATE 11/30/07 -   Troy has been with us for a year now and he is such a sweet fellow. He
constantly watches us and follows us around the house. He and Rocco love to be in the kitchen when
we are preparing supper. He loves to sample all of the culinary treats.
Rocco and Troy love to take hikes in the nearby wildlife sanctuary. Often during the week we have the
whole place to ourselves and they can run loose. I often smile as I watch the "smiles" on their faces as
they race neck and neck down the trail and suddenly turn around and race back towards me.
Today we took a long hike and then came home to dinner. Afterwards, I built a fire and we all retired
to the living room sofa for a siesta. What a great life these two dogs have! They are loved by all,
well-fed, have a large play area to explore and best of all a warm, dry bed to sleep in at night. I wish
that I could take in even more Boxers to give them the same great life that Rocco and Troy enjoy!

UPDATE 5/6/07 -  Troy has a new playmate! We recently adopted a third Boxer, Roco. He is a year
younger than Troy and they have become best buddies. They neck wrestle for hours! Sometimes I hear
the wildest commotion upstairs and it only those two playing hard. Both dogs sleep in our bedroom on
my side of the bed. It is nice to see the dog pack thing at work when they are together either with my
wife and I or just outside playing. Troy is much less restless now that he has a playmate and fellow
woodland explorer. This afternoon I took them for a long hike and after an hour and a half they were
finally tuckered out. They just ate and right now they are in my office laying side by side dozing.

UPDATE 1/2/07 - Troy, is doing really great. He stopped sleeping in our bedroom a few weeks ago
and now spends the night sleeping in the living room with Jagger. Santa dropped off a reindeer outfit for
Troy which he tolerated for our entertainment. Last week troy's best buddy Pika stayed over a few
nights and he and Pika played almost non-stop. This past Sunday he spent several hours playing and
wandering around at a large dog park. He was the star of the park. Troy is crazy about chasing the
laser pointer dot. It is unbelievable how intense he gets when chasing that dot whether in the living room
or in the backyard! Troy is doing well with his daily walks and obedience training.

UPDATE 12/13/06 - Troy is doing great. He is getting along well with all of the other animals in the
house. He is most curious about Fran the cat and Anna our white rat! It is hilarious when he stands up
on his hind legs and slams his front paws down in front of the cat. He is trying to initiate play with an old
cat that just wants to be left alone. Troy is very well-behaved, listens well and does not try to wander
off when we let him out.
We are feeding Troy a high-quality dog food and trying to get him to fill-out so that his ribs don't show
as much. He is getting daily walks and loves to meet the other dogs in the neighborhood.

UPDATE 12/1/06 - Troy, is doing well. He settled in at his new home in less than a day. Last Friday he
was introduced to the neighbors two dogs and played with them for a while. Then on saturday my wife
and I took Troy and Pika (Boston Terrier) to PetSmart to pick out a new collar, leash, toys and some
small bags of dog food. We will try to find his favorite food as long as it is nutritious and not laden with
fillers and pig snouts!

11/06 - Troy has been adopted!

11/14/06 - Troy was surrendered to me by his owner this past Friday to go to a home that will have
more time for him.  He is extremely sweet and obedient.  He is nervous and very cautious but that could
be because Troy has only known living in a home with 2 adults and not a lot of activity.  At my house
with two other dogs and 2 5 year olds........well I think we shell shocked him a little bit!  But Troy is
settling in and acclimating himself to the daily routine.  He is becoming playful with my boy Cosmo and
tends to follow me around everywhere.  He is the type that would do wonderful if you could take him
with you wherever you go. He adores being with people and seems to get a little apprehensive when he
doesn't know where I am.

Troy has no food aggression, doesn't jump or counter surf.  He doesn't seem to be much of a barker,
but he will whimper unexpectedly for no reason.  He is crate trained but is only crated when no one is
home.  He is also house broken and I'm told walks very well on a leash.  I am going to try and get out
for a walk with him later this evening to test that out.  I allow him to sleep with me at night but he will
only come up on the bed when called.  Unless he is getting wild and crazy with Cosmo, then they jump
on and off the bed, paying little attention to the fact I am trying to make the bed!  lol

Troy is starting to play with the toys a bit and will follow what my other boys do.  He doesn't seem
overly interested in my children but isn't rough with them at all.  He knows sit, lay down, come, kennel
and when I tell him he is a pretty boy, he wags the nubby!!!!

I'm telling you this boy is such a sweetheart..........hurry and ask for him so you can have him apart of
your family for the holiday season.  :)))
