2/28/06 -  Shayna and Joe remain at their foster Dad's house safe, warm, and protected from the elements where
they receive 2 round meals a day everyone always says square).  They still enjoy running around the backyard with
their foster brothers who like to play all day, even when Dad says that it's time to settle down for the night. They are
still a joy to have and make life ever so interesting.  For example, Shayna has learned that her Foster Dad Andy is a
sap and loves her to no end.  So when Shayna is asserting her alpha personality she has learned all she has to
do is flash her big brown eye at him and he melts becoming a pile of putty!  Joe on the other hand has learn it is
easier to stay on the bed sleeping all day never lifting his head to anything (except of course the sound of the
breakfast and dinner bowls!).

Everyone is getting along fine nothing out of the usual they keep me company and they remain my little buddies.
They have also tuned into me and my disabilities and know when I am in a higher level of pain.  They come right
up to my sides and snuggle with me laying their heads on my chest as to be asking if i'm ok or if I need anything.

Don't you have a spot for this great pair of dogs!?

1/29/06 - I am happy to report that the Two Boxers (Shayna 6 and Joe 4) that were dumped at a local shelter we
work with are in rescue and have been doing well.  We have been totally enjoying our experience with the two who
have warmed up to our already 3 male boxers.  We did expect to have a situation with two strange dogs coming
into the home which as we all know been marked by our 3 (not inside).

The two Boxers are absolutely loving and affectionate dogs who cuddle right on top of you if you lay with them.
They enjoy playing with our three outside and inside.  The 5 total pack have become the best of friends.  To watch
all of them play is extremely funny because of the individual personalities.  Shayna is the Alpha female and will let
everyone else know when she wants to be left alone.

When I did get the two of them I have to say they were looking a bit on the thin side and not as well taken care of as
I take care of my three.  They had their first spa treatment which included the ear, nails, teeth, and bath treatment
and I am now happy to report the 5 all shine.  I think the total experience of the Spa has gone to Shayna's head
because she is carrying herself a lot higher.

I have not yet been able to attach any photo's as of yet but please be patient I will be adding them soon enough.
Shayna &
her foster
buddy.
