10/22/06 - Sadie is a fine little girl. To update her top box: She is 3 years old, spayed. I need to update
her shots, don't see anything about a rabies vaccination in her paperwork. She appears to be crate
trained, only cries for a little bit when left alone in there or in a room by herself, but quiets down after
that. She has had one accident in the house, but other than that is house trained.
Sadie gets along great with both of my male dogs. No growling or nipping at all. The first night that I got
her, she growled while in her cage when one of the dogs rushed towards the crate, could you blame
her?!
She has a lot of energy especially when she first gets out of the crate, but calms down quickly. Sadie
has enjoyed joining our "Team Boxer" walking club. I walk all three together and pick up their
droppings, yes I'm nuts! But that just demonstrates what a good walker she is. She can pull at times,
especially when she sees a neighborhood dog or tiny dog with a bushy tail-AKA a squirrel!
Sadie is a very grateful and affectionate dog. Like all of our boxers, loves attention and petting. She is
an easy dog...goes in her crate with a small treat thrown in, waits patiently for her food, and sits on
command. She is definately used to being in the home as she was a home pet before her previous
owners moved to a place that would not allow pets. It is stated in her paperwork that her previous
family had 4 children aged 8 - 14.
Sadie can't wait for you to welcome her into your home. She is a genuine sweetheart who will add lots
of love to your family.
10/18/06 - Sadie is at my house now resting up (hopefully!). THANKS to Jeri and Gail for their
diligent efforts getting her out of the SPCA in the midst of our stormy weekend weather in WNY. No
electricity,
phones, driving bans, but you two got her out! Thanks to Linda White and Linda Cummings for their
offers to help and support. Great teamwork.
Sadie is very small, the pictures do not do her justice. Now SCBR has the continuum covered with
mini-boxers and giant boxers (Rocky B). I now have small, medium and large sized boxers...all so
different. Sadie is a little pistol I can tell already. Very active and very loving. Too early to tell how she
is going to take to the other dogs.
More updates soon!
