3/3/06 - I knew Rambler was a smart boy, but last night he proved it to me!   I decided to see what things he knew
and I found he easily knows sit, down and paw/shake.   I only had to ask him once & he did each immediately and I
did not even have a treat handy at the time!   Of course he got his rewards in loving and a treat soon after, but he
was sooooo good and very eager to please!   Someone obviously spent some time with him to teach him these
things so I cannot imagine why they never came looking for him.   Oh well, their loss and YOUR GAIN!!

He is also perfectly fine with my cats and does not mind going into his crate anymore when I ask him.  Rambler is
a reallyl nice dog and is ready to go home with you!

3/1/06 - Rambler came into rescue on Saturday thanks to Terry for picking him up and meeting me.  He was a
stray to a shelter that no one claimed-I cannot see why no one would claim this sweet little boy!   The shelter called
us to help as they wanted to be sure he got into a home that understood boxers.

He has a great personality and is a really nice dog.  He is a small sized guy and does also need to gain some
weight and fill out some.  I think he is about 2 years old.  The shelter said he would be good with some dogs, but
was dominant with the other dogs.  I will try to check him out with some of the dogs at my house to see how he
does with them. So far he shows no interest in the cats and he finally noticed the flight cage of cockatiel birds last
night and stopped for a quick sniff, nose to beak.  I told him to leave them alone and he responded right away.

Rambler is getting use to being crated and is not fussing as much, though it is not his favorite thing.  He loves
squeeky toys and going for rides in the car.  We went for a drive the other night to do some errands and have some
bonding time.  Rambler was happy to alternate from either curled up in the passenger seat next to me with his
head on my lap cuddling and getting some pets at each stoplight, to sprawling out in the backseat on the blanket.
He was also really good about sharing some treats (french fries!) and waited patiently for his turn for each bite!
Such a good boy & sooooooo adorable!   Better hurry, Rambler is a great catch & will not be here long!
