UPDATE 7/26/07 - I just wanted to let you know how well Sophie (aka Pummi) is doing in her new home. She is
still a very shy girl but once settled in with a crowd around, she is known to give a stealth kiss here or there when
you are not looking! Sometimes she startles when a piece of news paper blows by but that does not stop her from
enjoying her walks each day. Sophie loves to cuddle and will do anything to get my attention for her morning "rub
down". She loves to go in the car and does very well sitting at my feet when we visit local outdoor cafes. We work
on her shyness and she has learned somewhat that if she does not back away, she could get some "free love"
from family and friends!
Sophie is my first dog companion and I was concerned about how it would all work out. I can't tell you how glad I
am to have her! She was my decision in 2006! Consider dog adoption, you will not be disappointed.
5/06- Pummi has been adopted!
4/24/06 - Why is Pummi still waiting for a home? She is a super sweet girl with the best house manners ever.
Pummi would never have an accident in the house, she would never touch anything that is not hers. She does not
get on the furniture unless invited. Pummi is shy at first and does take some time to warm up. Once she trusts you
she will be your very best friend. Pummi is excellent with every dog she meets. She is very submissive and does
not want any trouble. She loves to play with the young boxer around here but only outside. Pummi likes to ride in
the car as well. Pummi sleeps curled up in the littliest ball at night on the bed. I think she feels if she is small and
doesn't move I will not know she is there. Pummi would do wonderful in a quieter home. I think really young kids
would be to much for her. She is fine with all the teenagers here. Pummi is really ready for a new home. Please
open your heart and home to this girl, you will not be sorry!
1/4/06 - Pummi is really warming up around here. She is finally feeling comfortable. She is out with my 4 dogs all
the time now. She feels more secure when they are around. She went for a ride to the bank yesterday and thought
that was quite nice. She really seemed to enjoy the car ride. We call her the girl with the steel bladder because if
the weather is bad she will go 18 hours without going out and she never has an accident. Yesterday I was
surprised when I went into my room and Pummi was sleeping on the bed with the other 4. She had never gotten
on the furniture before. She is shy with people that she doesn't know but does warm up. She is the sweetest dog
and will make someone who has some patience a great friend. She would do well with another canine to keep
her comfortable. Please over look her mixed parentage and give her the home she deserves.
12/7/05 - Pummi continues to come out of her shell and be the sweetest dog ever. She is still a little shy and
needs a little time to trust everyone. She went to the vets got updated on her shots and it was discovered that she
was already spay. Everyone there just loved her. She really enjoys the other dogs here and I think they make her
more comfortable. I think she would do well with another dog. Pummi has not had any accidents in the house and
continues to enjoy her crate. I think she feels safe iin there. This girl has not had a great life, she would so enjoy
someone with some time and patience. A warm cozy bed and a good bowl of food make this pretty girl happy.
Please give her a home for the holidays.
11/21/05 - Pummi arrived yesterday after a long ride from Georgia. She was saved by some nice people from the
gas chamber. Pummi is very scared and has been through so much in the last few days it is going to take some
time for her to settle down. She is up to date on all her shots and heartworm negative. She got here late last night
and went right in her crate and settled down for the night. We did not hear one peep from her. She didn't eat
much dinner but I'm sure she will get better as she settles in. We will update again as we get to know our little
Pummi girl.
