2/18/06 - Presley has left the building with his new parents and brother Cosmo. Live well Presley you deserve it.
2/12/06 - Presley had a very busy weekend and I keep learning more and more about him. It started out on Friday.
I decided to take Presley with me to work to see how his car manners are. He rides beautifully in the car, but
wanted to see how he acted when left in the car. I went to my office and watched him from the building. He did
not settle down and sleep, but he was not nervous either. He just keep looking out the window waiting for me to
come back. He never once tried to get in the front seat of the car, just walked back and forth. When I came back
and started off again he just laid down and slept till we stopped again. I would give him an "A" for car manners.
We then went to Petco on Saturday for some volunteer work and he did wonderful. Nothing fazed this boy neither
the barking or other dogs. He only paid attention to people or dogs that aproached him. Once they left, he just laid
down and played with his toys. So if you like to take your dog to where they is a lot of commotion going on this is
the boy for you.
Today, Sunday, Presley saw snow for the first time, I think. Had a tough time getting him to go out and do his
business. Took about four times out. He now is better and our evening walk was much better. In fact he was
jumping around and looked like he was having fun. I also heard him bark for the first time today. A plow truck went
by the house and he bark. Then again on our evening walk he saw a truck in the distant and started barking at it.
Not sure what it is about trucks. Now that you know more about Presley you know he is the one for you. Get your
application in fast.... he will add so much to your life...
2/9/06 - Presley has been here less then a week and getting to know him has been a really joy. It amazes me how
quickly they adapt to their surroundings. So I know that he will fit into your family. He just wants to love you. He
does really well when I leave to go to work and waits patiently for me to return. At first it seemed like Presley did
not know simple commands, but either he just forgot them or is a really quick learner but in four days he will now
sit, lay down, and stay for me. Now he even waits at the door for me to go out first. Such a gentlmen... Today we
met our first dog and other people on our walk and he was perfect. Wanted to greet everyone but when it was time
to continue there was no pulling. I wish you could see this boy's face close up he is just so darn cute. He has the
softest fur. One of Presley's best feature- he will sleep by your bed without moving until you get up. Sunday we
sleep for eight hours and not a peep...There has been no accident in the house but he also has not let me know
when he needs to go out. I have him on a schedule that apparently works for him. He need very little, just your
love, a soft bed, food, and some fun. Please think about this one. I tell you he is a keeper....
2/6/06 - Presley had a good first day and night with me. He did not eat at all which can be expected. He loves to
be outside walking. He does not know any commands except maybe NO. I found that he wants to come to give
you love but is unsure of what he is going to get when he approaches you. When I call him he comes kinda shyly
and then once you begin petting him he just turns to mush and the wiggles begin. I love the fact that he is not a
jumper. He slept through the entire night and did not get up until I did. He did eat his breakfast. I will be home with
him today and tomorrow I will be out on the road so I will see how he reacts to being alone.
2/5/06 - Presley has arrived here in CT and what a sweet boy! He was a stray to a high kill shelter in the South. Liz
and Joe you guys were right on..He has been here about hour and has settled down on his bed and sleeping like
a baby. Also rode great in the car which Joe also said he did for him. Will keep you posted, but I am sure it will not
be long before I will be saying "Presley has left the build"! LOL
