UPDATE 4/20/06 - Let me begin by confessing that we have changed Penny's name to Brandy.
Brandy has been with us for a month now and her manners have been improving day by day.  We began training
just over a week after we got her and boy did she need it.  She's such a happy girl with boundless amounts of
energy.  Her greetings are over exhuberent and she loves to mouth the hand...two habits we are working to break.
She is sitting & going "down" on command as well as staying for a minute at a time. She is also very responsive to
"leave it" and it's a good thing because she is into everything! :-)  I'm sure with consistant training, even after the
class is done, we'll have a well mannered young lady on our hands.
She was very popular at the vet's office.  She weighed in at a whopping 48 pounds.  She's already put on some
weight which certainly needs.
Honestly, although she is quite a handful, we absolutely love having her in our family.  My husband and 2 sons just
love to cuddle with her(when she stays still long enough :-)Our other boxer, Rocky, is adjusting slowly but surely to
having another dog in the house again.
Thank you again for selecting us to take in Brandy as part of our family.

3/18/06 - Penny has been adopted!

3/13/06- Penny is an owner surrender. Her owners did not have time for her since they both work. They gave her to
another family but their resident 9 year old dog does not like other dogs. Penny loved the other dog.  She knows
sit, stay and give the paw.  I was told she is 90% housebroken but so far the crate is dry and no accidents in the
house.  One thing for sure, she loves to give kisses and cuddle!   We took a nice long walk and she does not pull.
She stops when you stop.  Penny does need to be spayed, which I will have done by Wed. She won't be here long
so please make that phone call!
