UPDATE 10/17/09 - Wow! It was 3 years in June since we have had Oscar it doesn't seem possible. He is such a
wonderful dog and is just a love if he's not on your lap he's not happy. We did make a move to a new home and he
has adjusted magnificently we don't have to put him in a crate at all anymore he is so well behaved.  Oscar go's to
the vet this week for shots and to have a bump looked at on his back hind leg I'm sure it will be fine. Oscar favorite
thing to do is play basketball its hysterical we throw him the ball and he bounces it back to us on his nose. We just
love him so much he is the best dog we  have ever had!

UPDATE 4/8/07 - Oscar is still doing wonderful..He has brought much joy to our family. Oscar is now looking for a
brother or sister to play with so we are looking into adopting another boxer baby. I never thought I could love a dog
so much but he is our world. Oscar is so happy and loves to snuggle in the morning he waits for my husband to
get out of bed than jumps up puts his head under the covers and squirms all the way to the bottom of the bed its
the funniest thing. He has also jumped in the shower with me a few times. I just can't say enough about him
adopting oscar was the best decision we made.

UPDATE 7/8/06 - We just love our Oscar baby! He is the best dog ever we have so much fun with him. He loves
everybody and is so easy going everyone who meets him just falls in love with him and tells us how lucky we are
and I definetly feel the same way.  This is our first time rescueing a dog and what a wonderful experience it has
been I wouldn't do it any other way. Oscar loves the water and expecially the beach its so fun watching him attact
the waves and the water from the hose.  I think he has a little to much fun as the other day he woke up with a really
bad runny nose we took him to the vet and he has a sinus infection.  I never new dogs could get sinus infections.
We started obedience school on June 5th and he did very well.  The one thing that we really need to work on is
walking on the leash he pulls terrible and he's a big boy with a lot of strength. I can't say enough about my big baby
We just love him so much and feel so lucky to have him.  Whoever had him prior taught him well!

UPDATE 6/12/06 - Oscar is doing wonderful!  We just love him so much already. We couldn't of gotten a better dog
if we tried.  We picked him up on saturday and had a perfect ride home.  He hasn't had one accident in the house
he goes right to the door when he needs to go out.  He is such snuggle bunny he loves attention and with 3 kids
he gets plenty of it.  I just can't say enough about him today was the first day we had to leave him alone for a few
hours and I just couldn't wait to get home to see him I missed him so much.  He has his first vet appointment on
Thursday as he is due this month for his heartworm pill. I want to say thank you to everyone involved at
secondchance it making our dreams come true.  We will keep you updated.

6/10/06 - Oscar has been adopted!

6/4/06 - We have found that Oscar is a snuggler! He is now sleeping in our bed and we cant get him out in the
morning. During the night he steals pillows, tucks himself in and constantly wants to be in contact with someone
else. You move .... Oscar moves closer.   What a great boy!

6/1/06 - It's been about a week now and Oscar is making himself right at home. He's a lover and huge
ball of energy. He can fly! I think he is also in love my female, Dakota. There has been a love connection. He is
crate trained and will go in by just saying Crate. Only two accidents in the house so far. He is such a good boy!

5/27/06 - Oscar has arrived here in CT.  He is an owner surrender due to personal issues in his home. We got him
this evening and he is doing great so far. No accidents in the house. He is crate trained. He needs some lessons
on walking on a leash since he is such a big boy. He has a lot of energy but I think it helps that we have two dogs.
Stay tuned for more.
