UPDATE 11/27/06 - Murphy is a very smart boy! He is also getting very big!
Let's just say I get nervous when Clifford the Big Red Dog comes on! Murphy LOVES to play in the back yard with
the kids. He also likes to eat evrything that is laying around so we have to be on top of him always! He finished his
graduate puppy class this fall. He was the top student! He is very smart but also very stubborn. It has taken some
time but he is starting to understand his place in the family. He knows a lot of commands some with just hand
signals. It is amazing to see how much he has changed since May! The kids have really taken to him!
UPDATE 6/28/06 - It's been an exciting and exhausting month! Murphy is adjusting nicely and is growing like a
weed! He is trying to find his place among my three children. He likes to nibble on my 6 1/2 year old's toes, he is
doing well with my 20 mth old, it's my 4 1/2 that he loves to chase and jump all over! He has lost many of his
favorite shirts to Murphy's chewing and pulling on! We are working on it- my son carries bitter apple spray with him
at all times- they are destined to be best friend I am sure!He can not say Murphy and all we hear is "Mercy! Mercy!
Mercy!"
Murphy is now 42 punds which just blows me away. The vet said he gained 10 lbs in 2 weeks but he looks great!!
Seemed like a lot to me especially when his favorite place to sit is my GLASS table on the deck!!
He starts his obedience classes in a week- I have been to the first one without him which was very informative!
He will be neutered soon also.
Murphy is a very smart, energetic, and loveable dog!!
Our world is a bit crazier but it is worth it when you see the bonds forming!

5/16/06 - Murphy here :) I just wanted to say I've COMPLETELY turned around. My foster family kept making me
play with them, they kept holding me and making me play with all the other resident dogs. Guess what I
LOVEEEEEEEEE IT!!! I don't know what I was afraid of........ this is great!! I know my name, I come when called.... I
play steal the stuffy toy w/ the big dogs I love to snuggle with my foster people. My foster Mom said I can now
consider myself well socialized! I'm ready to play and snuggle with you!!! :)))
3/29/06 - Mr. Murphy is the shy quiet type of guy. He is not invested with playing with his brothers and sisters as
much as he prefers to be held and snuggled by his foster parents. He is a sweet gentle soul.

are interested in adopting one of us as we will go quickly & they cannot hold us for you to get through the
