UPDATE 5/21/06 - We just picked up Magoo today and I absolutely love him!  He did not even bark when we came to
pick him up.  He is a little jumpy with my four year old but he seems to listen very well and will learn quickly to not to
that.   On our way home westopped off a my work to meet everyone.  We had a 2 hour game of catch outside with all
the guys at my work, Colby(my 4 y/o) and my fiance. They all had such a great time.  Colby and Magoo were chasing
each other around.  They will be sleeping well tonight thats for sure.  Magoo is so well mannered.  He sits very well,
and is a great walker.  He was right by my side the whole walk.  All and all he seems like a fantastic dog.  I am so
excited to have him as a part of my family.  Oh-and I love his big squishy face.  I just want to give him kisses all the
time.  Well thats it for now, I will update in a few days.

5/21/06 - Magoo has been adopted!

4/29/06 - Magoo is still patiently waiting for his new home to come along.   He is finally crate trained & has such
character!  He loves to snuggle with you and enjoys being cuddled.  He now likes to play with his foster buddy,
Noodle, with only a once in awhile small scuffle over who is boss (uggh, two
"teenage boys"....LOL!).

Magoo has the cutest face & big jowls, that I just cannot help but squish his face & give him kisses!   When he
shakes his head his lips & jowls flap in the wind & even make the flapping noise!  I crack up everytime as he just
looks so goofy when he does this. LOL

Last night I finally saw the side of Magoo his original home warned me about (the incredible "eating machine"!-LOL).
I only turned away for a second & Magoo gently helped himself to a nice piece of cold pizza off my plate!  He walked
away with me chasing him & just gobbled it down.  Guess I need to be more cafeful with this boy around during my
meal time! LOL   Magoo loves riding in the car and is great company on a Sunday drive.   Anyone out there looking
for Magoo?   He's waiting!

4/3/06 - Magoo has been here a week & he is doing very well.  He has learned that the kitties are nothing to mess
with and actually tries to avoid them whenever possible! :)   So this boy is going to be fine to live with cats.  He does
get a little intimidated still by my other young foster, Noodle, who wants to play like wild & crazy boxer boys should.  I
think Magoo was so use to being the top dog in his house & with his neighborhood dogs that he just doesn't know
what to do with another dominant dog.   Noodle will grumble when he is drinking out of the water dish and Magoo
comes over to try to get a drink in the other bowl next to Noodle.  Magoo just walks away and looks at me as if to say
"What's HIS problem?!".   I still think to be on the safe side Magoo needs a home with a submissive dog that will let
him be the boss or as an only dog.  I have not seen a mean bone in his body with me and his family said he was
great with all people and kids and has no dominance over them.  I agree, he is just a mush & so cute & loveable!
He is now ready to go home, so hurry & ask for Magoo as he should not be here much longer!

3/27/06 - Magoo is an almost 1 year old neutered white boxer that is an owner surrender who came into rescue last
night.  His family very sadly gave him up as he was too dominant and not good with other dogs in the neighborhood.
Magoo had escaped a few times and went after other dogs, yet he got along great with the several dogs in his own
family.  They did not want to take a chance with what could happen to Magoo with being labeled as a "bad dog" in
their neighborhood and made the hard decision to give him to SCBR to find him a new home.   They said he is
wonderful with all people and kids and welcomed the many people coming and going in & out of their home all the
time in their active household.

Magoo met my cats last night and was very curious and playful with them. I will see how he does with them as he
settles in here some more.  I will also try him with my dogs in a day or so, but so far he doesn't mind them coming to
his kennel to sniff him.  Pictures & more updates soon on this super cute boy!
