UPDATE 2/2/07 - Maggie is doing great she had adjusted very nicely to our home. She had a play
date with her 4 legged cousin, Dandy, last week end. Dandy is a mix of lab and retriever, therefore alot
bigger. Size didn't matter to Maggie. Maggie knew it was her home and Dandy was visiting, therefore
Maggie's rules applied. She is very selfish with her toys, she doesn't get upset if someone plays with
them she just hides them. Her favorite toy is a stuffed dog that is almost 1/2 her size. She got this when
we picked her up and she drags it around by the ear. She loves going outside and the weather doesn't
seem to matter. When it is really cold out she doesn't play around she knows what she is out for. We
can't thank you enough for giving our Maggie to us to complete our family. Thank you
UPDATE 11/28/06 - Maggie is doing great. My husband and I both are very happy with her. She
loves all of our grandsons and gets very excited when they come over. She knows that they will play
with her. We want her with us as much as possible, so when we go to visit or a ride she goes. The first
few times she was very nervous acting. I think that she wasn't sure if she would be coming back with
us. She is getting much better with that. She has gone to the vet and he was very happy with her health
and her weight. She has only had a few accidents, but those were due to our not paying attention.
When she needs to go out she will go to the door. I tried as someone suggested to hang bells on the
door for her to ring. All I will tell you is that I got real good at it. When she came to us she was used to
sleeping in her crate. With company over the holiday, we moved it backed into out bedroom, end of
story is she curls us after we both get a complete bed bath and goes to sleep at the foot of the bed.
WE ARE SO VERY HAPPY WITH HER.
Thank you again for giving us the chance to give her the home that she deserves.
10/28/06 - Maggie has been adopted!
10/13/06 - My first foster is Maggie a Lhasa Apso puppy. Maggie is incredible, such a sweet dog! It
has gone better than I could have imagined. Our dogs are Chloe, a small black pug, and Liza a fawn
pug. My Chloe tends to be a barker when she is around anything bigger than her. Well Maggie is the
only dog she has every been with that is the same size,13 pounds, and Chloe never even reacted to
Maggie. I'm still in shock. The three of them are good friends. Well Maggie got fixed today. All went
well, they were able to clean up her ears and I think I have taken care of her fleas. We are doing great
and very happy at how lucky our family was to get such a great dog for our first foster.
10/10/06 - Maggie was an owner surrender due to changes in her household. Maggie is super sweet
and meets everyone like they are her best friends. She lived with a young child that she adored. Maggie
is paper trained so we are working on housebreaking. She is cratetrained and has some manners.
Maggie will be spay and brought up to date on all her shots this week. We will let you know as we get
to know her better.
