UPDATE 4/3/07 - Maddie is doing well. She's becoming part of the team at work, where she joins
me every day. She still has the occasional accident, but that is improving slowly.
She spent the last week with at my mother and sister's house while I was in Ireland. She learned some
interesting tricks while she was there, such as opening door knobs. And I've been told her cousin jack
the lab has been a little mopey since his friend left.
UPDATE 12/11/06 - Maddie is settling in to her new home and becoming very comfortable. She has
responded very well to letting me know when she has to go outside. She has recently graduated from
"puppy school" and enjoys showing off what she has learned. Maddie visits frequently with her cousin
"Jack", a 7 month old Lab and they spend a lot of time running around in the yard chasing after each
other. Maddie is a bit spoiled her girly colored jacket, collars and leashes that my mom (no grand kids)
and sister buy for her.
UPDATE 10/12/06 - Maddie is doing very well in her new home. She's signed up for obedience
classes that will start on the 30th. She's been coming to work with me and everyone loves her. Her
biggest problem so far is some bow-wow-wowing whenever I walk away.
We've been taking trips down to my mother and sister's house to for her to play in a big back yard with
my sister's new lab puppy. They've turned out to be great friends playing games of chase and tug of
war.
9/10/06 - Maddie has been adopted!
9/6/06 - Maddie is a healthy happy 10 month old girl. She gives lots of kisses and loves to play. Her
shortcomings are those of a much younger puppy. She is not housebroken or obedient in any way!
But she is very bright and I'm sure she can learn. To date she has only been able to chase my cats to
the top of the cupboards. We do not know yet what will happen when she confronts one! In the
meantime she's having fun playing with my six year old boxer girl and my 9 year old grandson!
8/29/06 - Maddie is an owner surrender from MA. Updates & more info soon from her foster home.
