11/22/06 - Great news!  Lacey's family has decided to get her into obedience training & work with her more!  She
will not be needing a new home anymore! :)

10/29/06 -   Lacey has started to get socialized toward other dogs. She has had two foster siblings to help her get
that way.   Her foster brother, Max was adopted yesterday, and she is very lonely. He was very submissive and they
hardly ever had a squabble. I think she would do fine in a 2 dog home, only with a submissive dog. She can be a
little excitable with a lot of commotion, but is as calm as ever with one or two people around. She loves everybody
and is quick to learn anything you try to teach her. She is excellent in the car, and loves to keep you company.
Please consider Lacey for your forever home, and you will have a devoted girl for life.

9/13/06 -    Lacey is an intelligent girl who is eager to please.  We are surrendering her back to rescue as she
needs a quieter type of home.   She can be trained easily , provided she is in a quiet environment without alot of
distractions. She is a real princess and needs to be the major focus in her forever family's life. She wants to be
with you in whatever you do, and joins in any conversation.

She is crate trained and will run in her crate when you say the word.  She loves riding in the car, and waits nicely for
you to do your errands.
Lacey does bark when company comes, but it is barks of joy. This girl loves all people, but is not so fond of other
animals.  I think she would be happiest in a quiet home with adults that would make her their little girl.   I would
suggest a gentle leader or a halter when walking her, as she is very strong, and seems to be in a hurry to get
where she is going.

Lacey has a beautiful smile, and loves to fetch. Pepperoni is her favorite snack. And food in general is the highlight
of her day.  If you are looking for a girl to love you through thick and thin, this is your girl!

UPDATE 4/5/06 -  Lacey seems to be learning what is acceptable and what isn't. Actually doing the right thing is
another issue entirely. She has horrible table manners and will steal food off plates, tables, and counters
whenever the chance arises. You know when she has done it, as she comes toward you with this kidney bean/
skulking look that she gets. I usually have her lie down on the kitchen floor while I cook meals so I know where she
is, but when the children are eating and I can't keep her away I use the crate.
She loves the car and goes almost everywhere with us. She knows what time of day we take my daughter to
kindergarten and will remind us to get moving if we are dilly dallying. She is quite jealous of my attentions and will
bark her fool head off if I try to stand and talk to anyone. I have her lie down and roll on her back  (love that dog
whisperer)and she stops immediately. She was quite hand shy when we first adopted her, but she rarely flinches
at all now.
Lacey has not had an accident in the house for at least a week, compared to the 1 or 2 times a day the first 2
weeks. She was terrified to walk past us after she did have an accident, she was very guarded of her hind quarters
when she did go past. She finally realized that she was not going to get hit or kicked and only let out to finish her
business.
She does need some obedience training to keep her from tearing off into the street when she is let out by a
unwitting accomplice. We have to wait until May for that though. We really love her. She is a blessing and we are
lucky to have her.

3/4/06 - Lacey has been adopted

- Well Sweet little Lacy Lou as she is now called at our house is doing great!   She was an owner
surrender due to a new baby in the house & her family felt they did not have enough time for her anymore.

What a sweet dog she absolutely loves my kids!  Right now she is still a little nervous with my husband and will
shy away from him until he sits down. We were told that she has never been around cats but she doesn't seem to
have any issues with them.  I took her for a ride today and she was a perfect lady she just laid right down. My
daughter was sick last night and Lacy could sense it she didn't leave her side until i literally dragged her off the
bed to go outside and then she ran right back to her!! Her new family will be truly lucky to have her!!  What a Peach!!
