10/14/06-  Okay this is Juliette here, I wanted you to hear from me directly, not that my foster Mom
has not done a good job but I just need to be a little vocal here...  First, I just want you to know that I
so want a forever home.   I listen so well, and have learned so much since being here at the Inn.  My
Foster Mom tells me that all the time, so it must be true.   I can bet my last cookie that you will have so
much fun with me.  I can go anywhere with you or I can wait for you to come home.  I love meeting
new people and am not a jumper just lots of wiggles and kisses.  I do tend to be a little vocal and do
not give up when  it is time to eat or go outside.  What more could you want?  If you just tell me what
you want I promise I will do my dogness to give it to you.  I can promise you lots of snuggles, kisses,
wiggles, and the softest fur that just makes you want to always pet me.  I will let you sleep as long as
you want and my foster mom says I practically go on command.  She lets me out right before bedtime
and I go on my own and come right back in for bed.  Have I convinced you yet  to PICK ME - LOVE
ME ? Sincerely with all my wiggles, Juliette

10/13/06 - We have decided that Brutus & Juliette will be fine to go to separate homes, so if you are
interested in only one of them, please let us know as they are more than ready to go to their new homes!

10/07/06:  You could call Juliette a love button.  She just loves to snuggle with you and for you to
make a fuss over her.  It really is all about her....Today we did errands and she is great in the car.
Loves to have her face out the window.  If she could she would stick her whole body out the window.
If you go on the highway she will come inside and lay down, but on the back roads and around town
she has to see everything that goes on.  We went to petco today to have her nails trimmed and she was
a perfect lady.  Even gave the girl a kiss at the end.  Now who would not fall in love with her.  We have
been working on her manners when we walk.  She wants to get to the other four legged friends as we
pass.  She only barks if they bark first and she is learning to stay with I say no visit.  Today in Petco she
did really good.  Wanted to visit, but stayed by my side and no pulling when I told her no visit.  I
thought she did great.  She wanted me to tell you how hard she is working on her manners so you might
consider taking her into your family.  She would love to have a family of her own.   Is it you?

9/27/06 - This Juliette is such a character!  I came home tonight after being out for a couple of hours
and you would have thought I left her for days.  So she is all over me.  I usually take them out for a few
minutes when I come home to let some energy off and to pee.  That done I came in to get myself a cup
of tea and she is still under my feet.  Well, I stepped on her toe.  Now mind you not a peep out of her,
she just picked up her leg
and starts shaking it.  I am looking at her- she at me- and just keeps shaking her leg.  Now I am not
sure what to do, either fall down laughing or run her to the vets.  So I just tell her I am sorry and tell her
I will give her a cookie.  Well, down goes the leg and now she is jumping all around and heading for the
mat (where all treats and meals are given)!  I swear she was faking just to get an extra cookie.... How
smart are they?  I fell for it.  But if you could have seen her.  She really played me big time......  Now
that I have stopped laughing I thought I would share this story.

9/15/06  Juliette and I had a great week.  I finally tried the gentle leader on her this week and what a
difference it made.  It took her about two days to finally accept it and now she walks beautifully by my
side without pulling. Walking them both is so easy now.  She also had a few accidents last week while I
was at work, but this week nothing.  I really think it was her just getting use to my schedule.  She loves
to tell you when she needs to go out.  We were in the backyard today playing and Juliette was running
circles around Brutus and myself.  She was going a mile a minute but came on command.

9/10/06 - It has now been a week since received Brutus and Juliette into my home and heart.  What a
great pair they are.  I was very surprise on just how easy having two dogs is.   I thought it would be the
opposite.   They keep each other company and have a built in playmate.  I am sure if they had a wish
list the number one on their list would be that someone would adopt them both.  They so love each
other that it would be very hard to separate them.  Please consider them both
.

9/10/06  -
So a week has gone by and how quickly it seemed.   Juliette's personally is really starting to
show.  She rules the roost.  She is really smart and a very quick learner.  I think the biggest problem
I've had with the pair has been their begging.    We have been working on this the whole week and she
really is doing good.  Now when I can say NO  she will go and lay down.  Brutus you still have to say
No maybe twice before he settles.  But they are learning and that's what counts.  She will need to have
a few lessons on walking as she does tend to pull you along if you let her.  I might try a gentle leader her
on this week and see if we can improve this.  Again,  she will stop when you pull and say her name,  but
loves to be up front.  Has not learned who the alpha is yet...  We also went for a ride this Saturday to
see about car manners.  She loves to ride in the car and loves to stick her head out the window.  She
after awhile will just lay down.  Juliette is a petite girl who loves to snuggle with you or her brother.  She
gives the softest kisses and loves to put her muzzles up to you for you to give her kisses.  She is very
vocal about when she needs to go out which is great.  I took them down to our tennis courts today and
she had a ball running all around.  Off leash she came to me when called.  She played with her ball and
even got Brutus running a little.  We had fun.  This girl is a keeper, so easy going!

9/2/06 - Juliette is such a sweet girlie girl...She is the softest boxer that I have ever patted.  Her fur is
just beautiful.  Not sure her picture does her justice.  She has a black mask that goes around her eyes
and down her muzzle.   Right now she is trying to figure out what happened here today.  She has been a
little whiny but the poor girl has never been away so this is very new to her.  She goes back and forth
between snuggling with me on my chair and then back to her brother (Brutus).  There is no white on her
face but her chest has some white and all four paws are white.  She is very dainty and has a little more
energy then her brother.  She has been more vocal, but ate a great dinner.  She is ready for her forever
home.  As the week goes by I am sure her personality will surface more and will be able to write more.

9/2/06 -  Brutus and Juliette  arrived today and are trying to settle in.  These two although are not blood
related grew up together in the same household since birth.  Their owner is very distraught that he
needed to surrender them, but because he is relocating to the City he is having problems finding
housing/Apts. for the family and two dogs.  This is the first foster where I actually knew them before
they came into rescue.  So I am somewhat familiar with them.  They do not need to be crated, but are
crate trained, they get along with other dogs and cats and are great with children.  What a great start.
