UPDATE 3/14/07 - Hi All!!!! Well we have had Harley for a year now!! I cant believe it!! She continues to be the best
dog ever!! She still follows me around and lays down where I sit, she loooooves her car rides, she just waits at the
door, even when we open the door she looks at us till we say its ok, lets go for a ride!! Then she jumps, well, tries
to at least, haha, she hops around all excited!!! She does OWN our couch now. No one sits on it (she sheds alot)
its usually full of her hair!!! But thats ok!! I cant say enough how glad I am we adopted her, even with her age, I feel
lucky to have her. She still gets along good with our other boxer Belle. You just want to kiss her face all up when
she looks at you!!! I would def. adopt another senior if I could.... Harley is leading the life she deserves, good comfy
couch, nice walks, fun car rides, good food and treats, and a family that absolutely adores her!!!!! will update
again!!!! Harley say thanks for my family, SCBR!!!!!!

UPDATE 7/6/06 -  Hi!!Another update on Harley!!!! I just dont know what else to add to my first update, she is "my
girl" thats for sure. She is just so loved here. She follows me around alot, and just looks at me with those eyes of
hers that can melt you!!! She loves her car rides, runs right out to the van and waits to get in, then just lays down on
the back seat. (I think she just wants to be with us) My 2 year old Boxer, Belle, was laying her head on Harley just
yesterday while Harley was laying down by my feet, they love each other and get along so good. Belle would like
Harley to play a little more but respects her when she doesnt want to. Harley "owns" the couch now, its hers!!!! And
boy does she snore!! She likes the dog park and other dogs, but protects her house now!!! She will bark when
Belle barks or when someone comes in, they both are great watch dogs together. So many people who come over
do comment on what a sweet girl she is. I probably already said some of this in my first update, she is just the
best!!! There was not one day where she didnt fit right in here, never any accidents in the house, not one ounce of
bad behavour or any type of adjustment period. I just dont know how we got so lucky to have her in our family!!!
Fate!!! I actually check the site all the time, I enjoy seeing the dogs get adopted, but when I came across Harley, I
took one look at her and knew she belonged here with us!!!! I was 100% right!!!! Well, enough of my bragging about
my perfect girl!!! Things are great and she is great, and I still thank everyone who helped us with Harleys
adoption!!!! We all couldnt be happier with her, she truly is, I think, the perfect dog. :-)

UPDATE 4/8/06 - Things are going so good with Harley!! Everything  from the time we picked her up to the 9 hour
drive home!! She has fit right in and we love her so much. Not once have we had an issue with her at all, its like
she was supposed to be here all her life,( I just wish she had been) but shes here now, to stay!!!! My kids both love
her, shes great with them, my 4 year old has tripped over her a few times, but she didnt do a thing, just took it all in.
She follows me everywhere!!!! Everyone that meets her cant get over how sweet she is!!!! I just cant believe
someone actually gave her up, but my gain thats all!!! My other boxer Belle loves her!! Shes always licking Harleys
face, they get along great, when Harley wants Belle to back off she lets her know and Belle listens!!!! She is just the
best dog ever and I cant say enough how much we love her!!! She does her "moo" for attention, its funny. When you
pet her and stop she will "moooo" like a cow for more, (just like her foster mom stated she did). Not much else I
can say about her, but thanks to all the people that helped scoot my app along so we could adopt her!!!!!!!!
She'shome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3/10/06 - Harley has been adopted!

2/27/06 -  Harley had her vet appointment today and the Vet said Harley has a severe skin allergy, which she gave
me three medications for along with a steriod shot.  She also have a rotten tooth, which is the reason for her "really
bad"  breath. They recommend that she absolutely have the tooth surgically removed so she doesn't get an
infection and cause further damage.  She also took a cell sample from a lump she has on her rear leg. The Dr.
said the test came up cancer free, yeah!!

We will be scheduling her tooth removal asap and are also working on getting her allergy under control. More
updates soon on this sweet gal!

2/16/06 - Harley is doing great!  She is so well behaved and listens better than my own dog Jack. Every morning
she wakes me up with her doggie smile and wiggley  butt. She loves riding in cars and is great with strangers
coming into my home. When she plays with Jack she likes to give him a happy growl or mooooo! Harley is never
crated and does not need to be. When I leave the house she just finds a comfy spot and takes a nap where ever
she is comfortable. She has not ruined, peed, pooped or chewed anything and hardly ever barks. She sheds more
than usual for a boxer breed so I bought a doggie brush for her. When I called her she came right to me and laid
down on the floor and let me brush her. When she thought one side was brushed to her liking, she would just get
up, roll over and let me continue on the other side. She loved it. She has the sweetest personality and loves people
of all ages. Harley will be great in a home with all adults, children, cats, and dogs. She loves everybody.

2/1/06 - Harley is a sweet senior. She has those eyes that just want you to love her. He previous owner took his
time and trained her very well. She knows all her commands, such as sit, come and stay, loves to wag her  boxer
tail, and sometimes even moooo's like a cow!  I was told by her previous family that when she gets excited she will
moooo.  Call me crazy, sometimes I have to stop myself from looking for a cow in my home. It's the cutest thing!
She is completely house trained. For bed time, she goes on her dog bed and sleeps all night. She is no problem.

Harley also gets along well with my boxer boy Jack. I introduced them and immediately they liked one another. She
came from a home with Chelsea and is used to other dogs, fits in well, and now one looks for the other. I also
have two house cats who share my office. I took the cat gate off the door so Harley could come in. She did just fine.
She was curious at first, did her staring and sniffing and now the cats are no big deal to her. Harley is a no
problem gal. She loves other dogs and even cats too. That is a great big plus for her because we all know that
sometimes cats and dogs do not get along. Harley just loves everyone.

Years ago, she was hit by a car and does walk with a limp, so a home with a lot of stairs may be a problem for her.
But so far, her minor limping does not interfere with her playfulness; if it doesn't bother her, don't let it bother you.
She is awesome!  I can honestly tell you this gal is going to be the love of someone's  life in her new forever home.
Her famous boxer moooo's will make you love her even more!  Don't wait too long.

1/28/06 - Chelsea & Harley's owner was heartbroken to give them up, but had no choice due to unforseen
changes in his life.  They both were VERY loved and due to their age will be looking for seperate homes as it is
hard enough to find someone to adopt ONE senior boxer, yet alone TWO together.  We want these gals to get in
their new homes as soon as possible, so they can settle down again.
