UPDATE 7/14/06 -  Maddox here with another update...
Well I still do not like that cat.  I mean at least I've gotten to the point that I don't go after him, but I still give him the
evil eye.
Health wise I feel great.  Mom has me on this chicken soup for the soul food and she makes me two warm plates
a day.  I've gained weight; my coat looks awesome; my back end has filled out nice and mom's, dad takes me for a
walk on the beach almost everyday.  I like the old guy we have a lot in common...ya know retired old slow :-)
The kids in the neighborhood are awesome too...My favorite girl is Helen and she comes over as much as
possible and gives me xxoxoxoxo all day long.  She can't walk by without stopping and saying hi.  The neighbors
(beagle and dalmation)  down the road have a great fenced in big yard and on the 4th of July mom and I went to
the family funtion....it was fun!

5/06 - Half Pint has been adopted!

4/14/06 - Half Pint is such a sweet little love. He doesn't jump on people, and once in a while, he'll give a sweet
little kiss, but he's a bit stingy with those! He's good with other dogs and he would do just fine as an only dog or
with one or two other relatively calm dogs. He gets nervous when the younger dogs play rough around him. He's
happy to meet everybody, LOVES going for rides and being outside and is so incredibly sweet & gentle - my 80
year old mother has no problems with him at all. I can't look at him or think about him without smiling and feeling
good. My mom and I both will miss him so much, but I'd love to see him where people are more dedicated to just
him. He loves balls and likes to play a game of chase with me around the dining room table... he likes to tease me
and trick me by turning and going the other direction.

It's clear he has had some injury in the past on his back left leg, but it doesn't hold him back. Since he's petite, it
doesn't affect him the way it might bother a heavier dog. Once in a while, you can tell it's a little stiff, but he's still
very nimble.  We have discovered that sometimes he's picky about eating ever since my mom put a wee bit of
bacon grease in his food, so now he occasionally tries to hold out for something better over plain food.  LOL

Your home is missing out on one of the sweetest little guys we've had the pleasure of meeting, and that is saying
a lot since we've had some amazing boxers come through these doors. He steals the heart of everyone he meets
and has so many cute little personality quirks, not to mention those gorgeous, piercing eyes. Don't make him wait
another day to find his loving, dedicated forever home. He's so easy to love!

1/7/06 - Half Pint is just the sweetest boy. He's easy going, friendly, likes people, rides, playing ball or just
snuggling. A friend of mine just got a new digital camera so watch for more pics soon - he is a gorgeous fawn with
the most piercing eyes ever. His only issue is nothing major - with dogs only, he has an issue with his food, so
feeding him separate from any household fur buddies is the key to success. He does love the company of other
dogs, but would probably be just fine as an only dog, too. He has a scar on his back leg so obviously had surgery
at one point but really doesn't appear to have any health issues, although he does need to go outside at least
every four hours during the day if someone is home, although he's fine all night. He's such a charmer and
everyone who meets him just loves him. I've been out to the shelter that got him into SCBR a few times since he's
been here and everyone always wants to know how he is doing because he stole all the hearts there. Since he
was stray, we really have no idea about his real age, but I can tell you he's a complete joy to have around and just
adorable. Please give this great guy the wonderful forever life he deserves, and you will be in for a fantastic, loving
companion!!!

12/14/05 - I picked up Half Pint (he's a little guy) last night at one of our favorite shelters. He is really sweet and
adorable. He needs to gain a few pounds but has a good appetite. He was found stray before Thanksgiving and
no one claimed him. It's hard to imagine why - he's sweet, friendly, doesn't jump, likes to play, rides in the car well
(and knows what that means!), doesn't mind when I leave him alone, lets us know when he has to go out, is good
with other dogs, knows "sit for a treat, and lets us know when he has to go out. He is a really adorable little thing
with the most beautiful,. piercing brown eyes.  I just don't see anything wrong with him and he is UTD on everything
frm shots to heartwom test, was wormed as a precaution, put on antibotitics as a precaution at the shelter since
he was vomiting a bit when he first came  in and he has a great, happy temperment, so he's all ready to find his
forever home. He has a mole or two on him, but that is pretty typical for dogs over 5 and usually nothing to worry
about.  He is just a little doll, so please consider giving this little guy the best holiday gift of all - a loving forever
home! You won't regret it - he really is a gem! Watch for pictures soon!!
