| 7/17/06 - Yesterday was a very emotional day for me. George went to the Rainbow Bridge. I really thought it would be a little easier knowing he would finally be at peace. I told him he would get to see all his friends and be free of all his pain. I will miss this precious boy. 7/15/06 - George is not doing great. His eyes never got better with the medication for ulcers and now they are really bad. Most of the time he doesn't lift his head when I come in the room. He is also having trouble holding it until morning. Sometimes when I'm gone for a few hours he can't hold it and sometimes he does. He wasn't even excited to see me after i was gone for a few day.(No reaction).I'm just not sure if he is telling me its time.I have to beg him to get off the couch and go out. 6/28/06 - Hi everyone its me George. I'm doing much better. Its great having a nice soft bed(couch) and a cool place to live. My legs are doing better,so I now get up on the couch to sleep. You can't imagine what I get to eat with my dry food. Yesterday is was a great steak. Foster mom says I'm so easy to take care of. Every morning she wakes me with a BIG kiss. Then I go out and do my business. When I get back in I have breakfast and fresh cool water. Guess what I do next---SLEEP.(My favorite thing to do). I never have any accidents. Mom usually has to wake me to go out. I can hold it all day. Right now I'm living with 4 other dogs. I know mom likes me the best. The others don't get steak,chicken,roast beef, chop meat, only me .I'm special. I don't bark,jump or steal. I'm not food aggressive. I'm just happy to have someone who cares about me. If someone is looking for a real couch potato it me. 6/22/06 - George arrived AT Seaside Boxer Haven on Monday. He is a very sweet oldie but goodie.He was in a shelter. He is very gentle. Does not go on furniture, does not steal,does not counter surf. Basically George sleeps. He does not like to sleep on the floor without a dog bed or some kind of mat. He does have some arthritis in his back legs. If you are looking for a very quiet Boxer you found him. |
