6/7/06 - Unfortunately Duke has been brought back to rescue already.  He got out of his crate in his new home &
had a party in the house, all by himself!  Needless to say his new owner was not happy about that & did not want to
work with Duke & his crating.   His foster home has never had an issue with him getting out of the crate at their
house though.  Again, another case of a dog adjusting to his new home & lots of changes & needing a little extra
patience & time to work out what is best for both the dog & you.   If you have a spot for this handsome boy, please
ask for Duke!

6/3/06 - Duke was adopted!

5/21/06 -  Last night we introduced Duke to the Gang and it went as smooth as one can imagine. The other four (of
course) sniffed and sniffed and sniffed to the point I thought for sure they would inhale the remaining fur on his
coat.

I bathed him and was very happy at the results because he has a beautiful soft coat. He is shedding a wee bit
more but par for the course and to be expected. He is one happy fun dog full of life and ENERGY...LOL...

He does like to come up on the bed but he doesn't stay there long. When he is ready he jumps down onto the
makeshift bed I have for the boy's on the floor (which is a foam mattress with and electric blanket covered by
fleece) after all they are short haired dogs and I don't want them to get cold. He slept the night without incident and
I was pleased by that.

This dog is really a very good boy, I can imagine it must have been very hard to give him up, but I will bet the future
forever family will fall in love with him instantly.

5/20/06 - This is Duke a new addition to SCBR.  Mike and myself just picked him up from the SPCA. He is an
owner surrender and was given up because the owner could no longer have pets in the apartment they were
renting.

He is a 4 yr old fawn neutered boy and very nervous as of right now. He was totally relaxed when we got home in
the car and enjoyed the car ride to his foster families home. The pictures are of him getting to know his new
environment. I have not yet introduced him to the gang, but will tonight when he is a bit more comfortable with his
surroundings and has marked the entire back yard...LOL...

He has the most beautiful hazel eye and when he looks at you it almost seems as if he would like to say thank you
for saving me from the path in which he was on. I know he will fit in fine once I've given him a bath and he and the
gang take the bed over.

More to come later on this boy.
