UPDATE 11/24/08 - Just wanted to give you an update on Dioge. She's coming up on her 3 year adoption-versary.
Aside from the issues between her and the cat things are going very well. Dioge and our male boxer Yikes are the
best of friends and enjoy playing and napping together.
Yesterday they were snuggled in front of the fire together enjoying the warnth on a cold November day.
The 2 boxers definitely keep life interesting, they got into a bag of flour last week and it was impossible to tell who
got it first, both dogs and the entire hallway were covered in flour. They certainly keep us on our toes.
UPDATE 12/22/06 - Dioge is definitely one of the family. She's often found snuggling with Yikes her boxer brother
or her skin brother and sister.
She is no longer the scrawny girl she was. She's a healthy 65 lbs of love now and is certainly the most spoiled
she has ever been.
We do still have a few issues with the cat, so they don't spend much time together, but she's trying.
She truly is very close to the perfect dog. Thank you SCBR.
UPDATE 4/17/06 - Dioge has been with us for almost 2 months now and this little girl has definitely made herself
a part of the family. She is madly in love with our boxer boy Yikes and rarely leaves his side. They run thru the yard
both carrying the same toy, sleep on the couch side by side.
Dioge is a great dog. She loves the kids. Snuggles with 5 yr old Caitlin and gets crawled on and loved by 1 year
old Matthew. I just can't understand how someone could have given up this ball of love.
She is not the best with the cat so we try and keep them seperated. She has gotten clawed a few times and still
gets in his face. She'll learn......we hope.
For those of you who get the Boston Globe, there is an upcoming article about the poop removal service we use
"Doody Calls" which will be featuring both Yikes and Dioge. They loved smiling for the reporter and showering her
in boxer kisses.
We are so happy that Second Chance Boxer gave us the chance to add this girl to our home. Dioge is a very
special part of our family.
2/19/06 - Dioge has been adopted!
2/15/06 - Dioge is doing great!She is so smart she sits, gives paw and lays down.She is awesome with my kids
and my other dogs.Its hard not to love her!Shes had some issues with the cat but once he let her know who the
boss was she backed right off!!
2/5/06 - Dioge arrived last night from one of our favorite shelters. She was dumped by her owners who no longer
wanted her. It says on her paperwork that she is housebroken, great with kids and other dogs. We will see as we
get to know her. She seems to be cratetrained and housebroken. Dioge has the cutest little smushy face. She is
super cute. Dioge wants to thank everyone that took time out of their weekend to get her to a safe foster home. She
was very glad to have a large dinner last night. We will let you know as we get to know her better. But this young
cutey will not be around long.
