UPDATE 6/11/06 - Dexter is doing great adapting to his new home, he's gotten over his transition anxiety and is
settled in.  He is doing great in obedience school and is spending June up at Moosehead Lake, where he's getting
his water wings.  He loves to run and beat on his little big sis.   We are very happy to have him a part of the family.

UPDATE 5/10/06 - Hi All! It's Dexter, but they call me Dexter Bean because it's cuter. I'm a pretty lucky dude, gotta
say. All morning Mum takes me and sister Lola to the park where we chase sticks, kongs, tennis balls, whatever
we can find. She says it's to wear us out. I say fun! And I'm a hoot, because I can go on the slide, both directions,
and I LOVE to climb stuff- steps, couches, picnic table, anything in my path. I like to eat toys, but then Mum sews
the pieces all together, so we have one 'franken-toy' that Lola and me share. We went to see Dr. Albert and he said
I was in tip-top shape. Very handsome indeed. That full blast header into the chain-link didn't hurt my noggin one
bit.
I'm a big boy, big enough so I can rest my head on Dad's lap while he's typing. Or with my head out the sunroof of
the station wagon. I was pretty excited about the drive-thru windows in town- they give out the best stuff! And all that
business about potty training? Pish posh, i was just kiddin', y'all! I'm housebroken as they come. Mum's thrilled
about some new thing we're going to do, O-B-E-D-I-E-N-C-E. She thinks it will really help us bond more than our
afternoon cuddle sessions. So, I'm settling in pretty well now. I wish for more BIG dogs like me for roughhousing,
but Lola will have to do! Slobbers from me, the goofiest big boxer EVER!
Peace, Dexter B

UPDATE 4/17/06 - Hi All SCBR involved friends,
Just an intro from a couple up in Maine, we adopted Dexter, a 90 LB lug last week.
Here's a quick report:
Day one- four poops and six puddles inside (????)
Day two- two puddles, one mommy-head-butt (which resulted in tears), but poops begone!
Day three- no accidents
Day four- no accidents, but ate the garbage (mmm, rotting bok choy!)
Day five- no accidents, no garbage
Day six- no accidents, tried for the garbage again, sat on my visiting mother at brunch...

He is sweet and lovey and goofy. We were worried he might not be housetrained (as you can see above), but he
seems to be on schedule now. We're keeping him. Everywhere we go he receives compliments. He is really BIG.
Huge and gorgeous.
Thank you to everyone at SC Boxer Rescue for all your work!
Lots of kisses from Dexter as he settles into his new family!
Hisses from the kitty!

4/10/06 - Dexter has been adopted!

4/3/06 - Dexter is back in rescue due to the current dog in his forever home not accepting him. I would describe
this boy as amazing!!! He is the most incredible dog. He is huge. A very big boy. He is wiggly and happy go lucky.
He LOVES everyone. He is cratetrained, housebroken and obedience trained. He has wonderful house manners.
He is good with other dogs but because of his size and that he likes to play rough larger dogs are better. Dexter is
truely a wonderful dog that needs a home with lots of activity. He would do wonderful with a fenced in yard also. Get
your apps in fast as this boy will not be around long. He is the cutest gentle giant ever!

12 - 2005 - Dexter was adopted!

12/10/05 - Dexter arrived yesterday thanks to a very dedicated dog lover who traveled in a bad storm to get him out
of the shelter. He was found as a stray. We should of named him Goofy as he has the funniest personality. He is
so happy go lucky, taking in everything as a new adventure. He LOVED playing with our boxer puppy in the snow
today, you could almost see the smile on his face. He LOVES people and was so excited to meet the teenagers
last night. (They weren't as excited). He is a huge boy, very tall and just big. He has the longest boxers ears I have
ever seen. He has been nothing but an angel so far. Great in his crate, ate a good dinner, no accidents in the
house and met all the other dogs with his tail going. He has an appointment to meet the vet on Monday and we will
update you then. This boy should not be around long.
