UPDATE 11/7/06 -  Darby's doing well - she is finally picking up the housebreaking, although we still have
accidents.  She likes to get into everything and eat random stuff, so she's still a handful and needs to be watched,
but she is SUCH a sweet girl.  She's so eager to show off her tricks for cookies and even more eager to eat the
cats' food.  Her brother, our Boston Terrier, rings a bell by the front door to go outside and she has picked that up,
so we have a definite signal.  If that gets ignored, we get woo-woos and barks.
We are expecting a baby soon, and we've been purposely testing her - pulling her tail or flopping down on her or
pulling her jowls to see how she'll react to a baby, and she could care less!  No snapping or growling  - she just
looks at you with the "whatever!" look on her face.  She's a happy, healthy, loving girl.  She's discovered the bathtub
too - anytime you're in the bathroom she runs over and puts her snout under the faucet and looks at you for a drink.
:)   Our neighbors kids' love her and are always asking to walk her and play with her and her brother.  We also
have two cats that love her too - they rub up against her and curl up with her.  Even when she gets playful with them
she's gentle.  What a great dog!!

UPDATE 9/14/06 - Hi!  Darby is doing well - still having major issues with housebreaking though.  Sometimes she
gets it and lets us know and sometimes she just goes.  We're working with her, and I'm hoping she'll get it soon.
Other than that, she's learning tricks, and is generally a real sweetheart.  She gets distracted really easily and
she's not the brightest bulb in the bunch, but her sweetness makes up for it!

We are expecting a baby in December and I just commented yesterday to my husband that I have absolutely no
doubt that she'll be great with the baby.  She's got the temperment where pulling ears or a tail or flopping down on
her won't phase her in the least.  The only thing I might worry about is her being too energetic, but I think that will
calm with age.  She and our Boston Terrier love each other and continue to play together really well.  They curl up
together on our bed at night with us.  A queen size bed suddenly seems really small!!

She's all recovered from being spayed and having her back dewclaws removed - she was great with the stitches!
We're planning on using the "moon collar" for a halloween costume for her.

The cats have finally gotten used to her and realized that she's not going to hurt them - our Himmie actually follows
her around the house to rub up against her.  Our feral cat follows her around outside and rubs up against her.  I
think they're buds.

5/06 - Darby has been adopted!

3/29/06 - This is chatty Darby. she has a lot to say and will look you right in the eye to tell ya about it...lol lol she will
give you WOO WOO'S

As you can see she is missing an ear. The vet felt Mom may have taken it off by accident during birth.
It does not effect her hearing & her ear canal is normal. It does not effect her at all... gives her extra character!

3/18/06 - See Sadie's page for my Mom.  I will be available for adoption when I am 8 weeks old.  Apply now if you
are interested in adopting one of us as we will go quickly & they cannot hold us for you to get through the
application process.
