UPDATE 6/30/07 - Chas and Daisy are doing great! They are such a fantastic part of our family!!  We are actually in
the process of clearing and leveling 1 1/2 acres of land so that they have more room to run and play with the kids.
Daisy loves mud.  She takes any opportunity that she can to change from an all white dog to an all brown dog.
Chas tip toes through the mud because he doesn't like to get dirty, but he dives right in if there's a chance to swim.
He loves swimming!  We take them out on our boat often and they just love it.  We are actually having Chas
checked for thryoid problems now.  He is on lamb and rice and less than the recommended amount, plus he gets
absolutely NO table scraps and he's still overweight.  He developed a black spot on his back and the hair started
falling out.  That's what alerted us to the thryoid signs.  So we'll know in a few days.  Meanwhile, we'll enjoy the
cooler summer days in NY state and playing with the dogs.

UPDATE 1/12/07- Just a quick update to let you know that Chas and Daisy are doing terrific.  I'd love to send a
picture of them.  They get along so well and are behaving so well.  Daisy knows: sit, stay, come, heel, down, and
anything else we ask of her.  Chas is just a complete lover boy... he's so snuggly.  We love them so much.

UPDATE 10/4/06 - Hello.  Daisy is the sweetest, calmest boxer I've ever met.  She loves playing with Chas and
can't get enough of him.  The snuggle all the time!  She especially loves cuddling with the kids on the couch in the
morning.  Daisy can't wait to go to their bedrooms and wake them up in the morning.  She sits patiently by the door
and waits until we say, "ok Daisy go get those kids up!"  Then she wiggles her self silly and goes into their room.
She hopps up on their bed one at a time and just lays down next to them and puts her nose on their cheek until
they wake up.  Then it's kisses galore and more wiggles!  She is the most well behaved dog I've ever been around.
She knows sit, stay, down, off, come, no bark, and she stays around our property without even venturing away at
all.  She amazing!  We couldn't have two better boxer for our family!! I only wish there was a place on this page to
include a picture of Daisy and Chas because they are so cute!!

UPDATE 7/8/06 - Daisy is doing greaty!!! We had to board both of our dogs at the doggie motel because we were
going out of town for a few days.  I was a nervous reck about it and felt so bad for them.  However when we got
back, the kennel owners told us that we have the nicest dogs they've ever seen!  They put them both together in a
doggy indoor/outdoor run that's 15feet by 50feet and they loved it!  The kennel people told us that Chas was a
perfect gentleman and Daisy was a sweetheart, and they both looked out for each other and played, played, played.
Of course when I went to pick them up, I was greated by Boxer wiggles times 2!!  Still having trouble with Daisy
peeing in her crate when we're gone for anywhere from 15minutes to 2 hours and then, of course, she rolls in it.
But other than that she is the perfect puppy!!  Chas thanks us every night for her!!

UPDATE 6/4/06 - Well, we renamed Cecily, Daisy.  My four year old could not pronounce Cecily no matter how hard
she tried.  So Daisy is doing GREAT!  I was really worried about the introductions between she and our other boxer
Chas.  When we adopted him we were told that he had an "issue" with cats at his or original home and that he has
a very high prey instinct.  However, we've discovered just the opposite.  He LOVES daisy!  They play together all the
time.  She beats up on him pretty hard and thinks she is soooo tough.  Chas just gently paws at her and slobbers
all over her head but he is so easy with her.  Last night she was biting his neck and he was all scratched up.  We
had to scold her and tell her she had to be more gentle on the big dog.  When they sleep, they curl up together and
snore happily.  The kids are being much more responsible then we imagined.  We thought that we'd be going
around the house picking up toys so Daisy wouldn't chew on them.  But they are running around the house saying,
"oh no, there's something Daisy could choke on (eventhough the something is bigger than Daisy's entire head) we
better pick it up!" They are even arguing over who get's to feed her.  Of course I don't have many volunteers to scoop
poop.  Daisy is doing great in her crate as far as comfortability goes.  She goes right in and doesn't whine.  But she
is peeing in her crate and she goes outside to pee right before we leave and she isn't being left for more than
about 1 1/2 hours.  Any suggestions??  The crage is not big, and Daisy doesn't have any problems laying in the
pee :(.  Other than that potty training is going ok.  We try to take her out every time she gets done with a nap, playing
or eating and then reward her with lots of praise.  But she still has some accidents in the house as expected.  We
always can tell though, because she goes off quietly by herself first.  Guess the people of this house need more
training :).  Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt Daisy, we just love her... she's so sweet!
