UPDATE 10/4/08 - Time has snuck up on me, hard to believe it has been two years with our little fat
headed boxer. Everything remains well with her, the neighbor has a Britney Spaniel and he seems to be
the first dog that I have seen that can keep up with that boxer energy. You could honestly get tired just
watching them run and run. At the current time she is fluffing her blanket behind the computer chair as I
update, she doesn't go far from me when I am home. That is all till next year, thanks again for everything
you do for these dogs.

UPDATE 9/15/07 -   WOW, it is hard to believe that it has already been a year with Bailey, boy does
time fly. Over the last few months we have had some health scares starting with a fainting spell followed
by a couple of spats with hives. I'm very happy to report that these issues have resolved and that
everything is now fine again. Bailey's favorite things to do are play with her toys, chase her tennis ball
and try to get that blasted squirrel that keeps entering her yard. The first year has been very good and
we can only hope for many more. Thanks again to everyone in rescue that helped us find our little
meathead.

UPDATE 3/16/07 -  Six months already. Bailey has settled into the household very well. She has filled
the void that was left when we lost Jake. She is non stop and her amount of energy surprises me, even
for a Boxer. We had a little scare back a couple of months ago, when she slipped and hurt her back.
She did not want to even get up. Three days later and a little rest and she was burning up the yard
again. We are still working on her introductions with other dogs and new people, but other than that she
is doing very well. We have been walking everyday, but the weather is going a little crazy here today in
NE PA. Well that is about all for now.

UPDATE 12/13/06 - Well it's now our third month with Ms. Bailey and we have just celebrated her
1st birthday. Bailey has come so far in three months and has done very well with obedience training.
She is very good outside but is still very interested in the deer. Last night when we took our walk, the
deer started crashing through the thicket by our house and you would have swore that Bailey had just
received a mohawk at the salon. Bailey is getting ready for her 1st night at the kennel over the couple of
days after Christmas, but I am sure she will do just fine.

UPDATE 11/16/06 - Well it's been two months with Ms. Bailey, hard to believe. Bailey is currently on
the living room floor knocking the nickel out of a soda bottle. If you ask me there is no toy like an
empty soda bottle. We are on our third rope toy because she has figured out how to untie them.
Recently we bought her a Busy bone. Yeah right, busy for two minutes. Bailey is wonderful with the
crate now, all that we have to do at night is rattle the milkbones and she trots to the crate and waits for
her treat. She loves to go to the dump with me with her head out of the window, jowls flapping. Most
of the time she is a perfect little angel, but after all she is a boxer puppy. That's it for this month, Stay
tuned

UPDATE 10/15/06 -  Bailey is adjusting very well in her new home, and although it has only been 1
month it seems like she has always been here. She has just finished her third class of training. She rides
in the car very well and besides the 8 hr. ride home from Maine she has taken many little excursions
with us, where she will curl up in a ball so small that you would think that she is a dog half her size. She
has been to our vet and besides a run of antibiotics for a UTI he said that she seems extremely healthy.
We have been working on her leash walking but the weather has gotten cold and Ms. Bailey does not
want to stay out very long. I guess it is time to go get her a sweater. Currently it is 6:45 am and she is
pulling her toys out of her toy box trying to get me to play but the rest of the house is not up yet. She
loves to play with her toys and finds tug of war, frisbee and her tennis ball among her favorites. She is
still too interested in our two cats and has run them up the tree once or twice but we are working on it.
Bailey also has quite a reaction to the kids on the trampoline and tries to figure out what in the world
they are doing. Today we will take a trip to the farm and pick up some pumpkins for Halloween. That's
it for this month. Stay tuned.

9/16/06 - Bailey has been adopted!

9/13/06 - Bailey just got back from a visit to Dr Matt. She was spay and test negative for heartworms.
Bailey is a little spit fire. She has a mind of her own. Bailey needs someone that can work with her on
manners and controlling her energy. Bailey is great with other dogs and likes kids. She doesn't care for
sharing her food, which we are working on. Bailey is a high energy puppy that needs a high energy
home. I think older kids a young playful dog and a fenced in yard would suit her best. Bailey really
wants to learn and is super smart. She loves everyone she comes into contact with. She thought the vet
staff was the best. She is a confident dog and nothing seems to scare her. Bailey is very well
cratetrained and does get into to much trouble out of the crate. She does love the couch though. Bailey
is patiently waiting for the perfect home, are you it??

9/8/06 - I got a call yesterday from a local shelter about little Bailey. Her owner was moving and
couldn't take her. So I went right over and picked her up. What a doll. She rode wonderfully in the car
and waiting patiently while we had some things to do. She came home and her house manners were
great. She barked like crazy at one of the teenage boys but as soon as he approached her she couldn't
wiggle fast enough. Then she laided by him for an hour while he was on the computer. Bailey went into
her kennel without any trouble. She ate a good dinner and slept through the night. This morning I put her
out with my boxer pup Agnes and they have been playing for over an hour. This is one great little girl.
She will meet Dr. Matt next week to be spay and then on to her forever home. Anyone is going to be
lucky to get this one.
