3/17/06 - Ali has made himself right at home. He has gotten sooooo much better with his crate training. No
accidents in over a week. You have no idea how happy I am about that.  He has met my 2 year old nephew and
they loved each other. Ali wanted to play with him immediatley. Ali was very gentle. He followed my nephew
everywhere.

He has gained weight, no more skin and bones with this guy. Loves his food.  He will be going to the vet sometime
next week for a check up.  Ali has also made it to the bed at bedtime. He sleeps through the night with no problem.
He loves to cuddle!    Stay tuned...

3/2/06 - Ali is the goofiest dog I have ever met!    He is slower than the average boxer but that is what makes him
unique. He LOVES having some kind of squeaky toy with him at all times. Its the only way we get him to go in his
crate or outside.  He always sleeps with one kind of toy or another. He is very quiet. Is gaining weight like a champ.
He has been taking his medicine with no problem at all.  He dances. It's the funniest thing I have ever seen! A
boxer whose tongue sticks out at all times and dances (front paws up and down, up and down with a little
butt wiggle thrown in for fun)!

He got his first bath with us tonight and enjoyed it so much we couldn't get him out of the tub.  We can't wait to see
what type of family he goes too. He will make someone very, very happy.  If you need a good laugh he is the dog for
you!

2/13/06 - Well Ali has had his cone off for about 3 days and is doing GREAT!  He really likes sqeaky toys and an old
football. We use these toys to get him in his crate every morning.  He is doing great with the crate training. He
doesnt bark at all. No seperation anxiety at all. Can't be bothered by my cat. He is very laid back. His tongue
always sticks out which makes him so cute!

He will starting his meds tomorrow. Only for about 3 weeks. The vet is hoping it will help the scarring on his eyes.
Ali is not a big fan of snow but is getting used to it, My Guinness has been coaxing him out with a toy and making
him follow him deeper into the yard. Its funny to see a dog being coaxed by another.  We have had a few accidents
in the house but he is doing great.   Ali is going to make someone very very happy. He's a lover!

2/9/06 - Ali went to the vet yesterday and had his stitches removed.  He will have to keep the cone on for a few
more days but she said everything looks great.  She stated that he has bad teeth and his jaw is okay.  His tongue
sticks out because she believes it's just too long to stay in his mouth!   He is too skinny only 43 pounds so I have
to get him to gain some weight.

His bloodwork showed he does not have any heartworm which is great but his thyroid test showed low.  My vet
would like to put him on some meds for about 2-3 weeks to see if it will help, which we will be doing.   All else he
is such a good boy!

2/7/06 - As for today is is doing great. He is still wearing his cone. He gets his stitches out tomorrow. My vet is
also going to check him over because I want information as to what is up with his jaw and  he is very wobbly in the
backside.  He is so funny!  He dances when he wants to go outside. No accidents in the house at all. He found a
football in my backyard and wont put it down. It's pretty funny to see him with the cone and a football!  I dont know
how he does it. He has found that laying on top of me is his favorite spot. He is now a cuddler. He is eating well.
Hopefully I can get some weight on him soon, but all else he is adorable!

2/4/06 - We got Ali today, thanks to Tinder for driving him to our house.  He was a stray to a shelter we work with.
This poor guy must of had a really rough start on life. He is wearing a cone to protect his neuter incision, which we
have to place ointment on twice a day.  His stiches had broke open in the shelter after they neutered him, so he
had to back to their vet the day after surgery to be re-stitched.  He also has antibiotics, pain meds, 2 types of ear
drops and eye cream.   This guy is dealing with a LOT!

His poor tongue doesnt stay in his mouth. It looks as if his jaw is crooked.  Right now he is pretty jumpy to all
noises and doesn't relax.   He is so loveable though!  He enjoys giving kisses to us and my Guinness. He likes to
sit on your lap for a little while but doesnt seem to know what comfortable is.  Hopefully he starts to relax and feel
comfortable soon.
