9/3/05 - Zoe and I have been talking lately, and she asked me...  "Foster Mommy, what did I do wrong, that no
one wants to adopt me?".   I tell her, she did absolutly nothing wrong, and that in time her forever family will come
along.  So, she spends hours on end looking out the front door, to see if her forever family is on their way.  Is that
you?  Zoe just wants someone to love her and take care of her forever.  Can you provide her with love, food, and
shelter?  Zoe says that is all she needs... she did whisper in my other ear, that "when my forever family takes me
home, they will fall in love with me immediatly, and then they will spoil me"  and then she will get more than just
love, food, and shelter and in return, she will give nothing but unconditional love and a million kisses.  Zoe loves
to give kisses... for free, no charge.  Zoe also says she can't wait to meet you, and that she loves you, and
sends lots of kisses!

8/7/05 - Everyday, Zoe asks me if today is the day she is going to meet her forever family. And it breaks my heart
to tell her I don't know. She acts like she is content with that answer, but deep down I know she is a little sad.
She doesn't like this feeling of being in limbo. I keep telling her there is someone special out there, and when
they become your forever family, you will be so happy you will probably forget all about me!

At night when we go to bed, my Doberman gets under the covers and Zoe doesn't understand how she
disappears. She just stares and stares at this bump in the covers, it is so funny to watch.

Also, I am dog sitting my ex-husband's 14 month old boxer, and she just loves it when he is here. When it's time
to go out, both of them start jumping up,down, and on each other. Or they will jump and almost do a complete
circle before landing all the way to the door. She is so comical to watch. You would never know she was 7 she
loves to play with the boxer boy, and she acts like she is 14 months old again. Zoe is definitely a joy to have
around!

7/25/05 - Zoe went to the vet and so far so go. She is dealing with normal kidney issues any 7 year old dog
would. The vet put her on Proin, for urine leakage, and she is so glad he did as she now gets to sleep in
the bed again. Zoe loves to snuggle!

The other night we had a bad thunderstorm, Zoe wasn't afraid at all, she was more interested in the rain hitting
the skylight. I watch her silhouette as she sat up in bed and looked towards the sky all the while she was
cocking her head from side to side.

I also found out Zoe has a tickle spot. If you scratch anywhere from her chest to her belly, it makes her leg go a
mile a minute. It is so funny to watch. That's all for now.

Ps: To Zoe's future forever home, she told me to tell you that she loves you already and sends lots and lots of
kisses. Did I mention Zoe loves to kiss?

07/07/05 - I have come to the conclusion, that Zoe has not had a lot of socialization. When I first got her, and she
was meeting someone new, she would bark, growl, and the hair would go up on the back of her neck. However,
her tail would be going a mile a minute. Now that she has been meeting more people, she acts less fearful then
when I first got her. It takes a few minutes now for her to warm up to someone new. Once she realizes you are
not going to hurt her or me, she will be giving you a tongue bath. Zoe loves to give kisses. She tries to act all big
and bad, but she is really a cream puff. I keep telling her she isn't fooling anyone. She also hasn't had much
experience on a leash as she pulls and pulls. She is one strong doggie. SCBR sent me a gentle leader, and
when I put that on her it's like night and day. One of my neighbors met her before the gentle leader, and then
again after I got it, and he couldn't believe how calm it made her. No pulling at all! Zoe has some kidney issues,
and the vet put her on antibiotics and special dog food, Purina NF made especially for dogs with kidney issues.
She will be back to the vet in 2 weeks for another urine analysis. The vet is pretty confident, with the change in
dog food, and round of antibiotics, she will be just fine. More than likely she will need to stay on this dog food for
the rest of her life. I will let you know more in 2 weeks. Other than that I can't say enough good things about her. It
is so sad her owner had to give her up, she is really a great dog. She will make someone very happy someday.

6/26/05 - Yesterday, Zoe and I went shopping at Petsmart. She basically ignored everyone around her, and was
more interested in the sights, sounds, and shopping. What girl doesn't like to shop? She loves to ride in the car,
and told me that shopping and riding in the car were just about even in her book as her favorite activity. Well, I
have to beg to differ as I found out today, that she loves to counter surf. I baked a cake today, and left it on the
cooling rack. About 20 minutes later, I went out to water my flowers. Well, when I got back in, I was down a half a
cake. Imagine! I have the pictures to prove it! Speaking of pictures, I took some wonderful pictures of Zoe today,
and as soon as I get them developed, I will get them posted to the site. I can't say enough sweet things about
Zoe, she is a great girl that is full of love, kisses, and boxer wiggles. She is amazing. I know she is a little sad
because she misses her owner, they had to put him in one of those senior assisted living centers, but she is
ready for a new owner to smother her with love, kisses, shopping, car rides, and cake.

6/19/05 - A fenced in yard is a must for this speed demon. As we were in my garage, and I was getting ready to
attach her to the cable, when my boyfriend opened the garage door from the outside, and off she went. After a
about 10 terrifying minutes running her down, I had her back on the leash. I released Zoe today into general
population (with my other dogs) for a few hours as I ran errands. When I came home she did have an accident,
but other than that, no chewing, clawing, or fur flying. So far so good.

6/15/05 - Zoe is settling in quite nicely now. She is the sweetest dog. All she wants to do is give kisses and go
where you are going. She may be 7 but she has a lot of life left in her, she loves to play and run around. She is
housebroken and crate trained. Last night she slept in bed with my 2 Dobermans and I. Her previous owners
took really good care of this dog. She is awesome. Who ever adopts her will not be disappointed.

6/13/05 - I picked up Zoe today, and she came with a complete set of medical records. She is spayed and UTD
on her shots. She is resting in her crate, which she just walked right in, no problems there. I couldn't get her to
eat dog food, but she didn't pass up any of the cheese I offered. She is a little on the thin side. Hopefully, that will
change once she settles down. I will let you know more in a few days. I have only had her home for about 3
hours now.
