UPDATE 5/27/08 - My little angels are 3 now and doiung really well. They rule the roost, and
know it! Seriously, they are really well behaved and loving dogs and we love them so much. They
have come a long way from the tiny puppies we brought home. They continue to have completely
opposite personalities. Cara is still like Tigger and Champie is definitely EEyore! They are pretty
mellow in the house, have taken over the love seat which they have to give up when our
daughter and her future husband come to visit. Oh the looks they give!!They enjoy walks, love
car rides and their favorite toy is the Giggle Ball, and also the Giggle Jack. They will play to
exhaustion, so we have to limit their time especially with the Giggle Ball.I am so very grateful to
have them in our lives. Our 10 year old shepard loves them, and they help keep him in shape,
though he definitely lets them know that he is the Alpha and when he has had enough.
We still look at their "baby" pictures and can't believe how little they were. Three years have
flown by, and we can't thank SCBR enough for their gifts to us. Love to you all.

UPDATE 5/16/06 - Hi, I submitted the pups update on the site, but it did not go through. The
Dynamic Duo are doing wonderful. They are completely inseparable. They play and wrestle and
crash for a while and then start the process all over again. They are a joy. Champ is about 85 lbs
and Miss Cara is about 65- she can still give her brother what for though. They have a vet appt
on june 2, so I will get accurate weights. Cara is over her pancreatitis, and eating like a little
horse. She is beginning to muscle up, but she still has a puppy face. Champ is perfecting the
Elvis look. They love to ride in the car, and always head to the door when they hear the car keys.
As soon as we get going, they go to sleep. Just like a couple of babies. They are really well
behaved, and I am hoping to find another trainer this summer to continue working with them.
Cara hates a collar and we play chase when she sees it. I am not sure why she all of a sudden
decided she doesn't want to wear it, but she is wonderful with her harness and I prefer it too.
Champ is so easy going, he doesn't care what you put on him. He is the more lay back of the 2.
Cara is very inquisitive, Champ just likes to lope along side of you when we walk. They are so
beautiful, they are a big hit and make friends wherever we go. It is hard to believe that they have
been with us for a year already. I guess time really does fly when you are having fun!!!Once
again we and they want to thank Judy for giving them such a good start. We really love this group.

UPDATE 3/16/06 - First I want to say Happy Birthday to all of Dolly's puppies. 1 year old, boy
does the time fly.
Cara and Champ are wonderful. Cara is being treated for a case of Pancreatitis, but responding
very well. Champ is as healthy and almost as big as a horse. They are wonderful puppies and
continue to be a joy to us. Cara weighs in at 66 lbs and Champ is 81. He also thinks he is a lap
dog. He love to get a toy and then climb up on my husbands lap and go to sleep. Cara likes to
snuggle up on me when I am in my recliner in the evening. The love to play, play, play. I am
thankful we have a large fenced in area for them to burn some energy. They are very good on
walks. I use a halter made by the gentle leader company on Cara and Champ does well with his
collar. He seems to know my husband has a bad hip and can not walk too fast, and he stays right
beside him. Cara is more curious and likes to explore so the harness keeps her from pulling.I
have found a trainer who does not believ in choker collars, and am looking into some further
training in the spring. They are both so gentle, I think they would make good therapy dogs.Yhey
love everyone.
We take them to the city for walks on the weekend so they get used to traffic noises and people
traffic. They are a big hit everywhere they go.I was not able to make a "birthday cake" for the
pups because of Cara's illness right now, so we will take them shopping this week-end and let
them each pick out a toy. I have been watching the Dog Whisperer, and am getting a lot of ideas
and information for working with the pups and it is so fascinating to see how well his examples
work.I would love to have some training with him.Well, gotta go for now. Time to feed the "babies"

UPDATE 11/11/05 - Cara and Champ are doing great!!!! What a pair- play, play and play some
more. They are inseparable too. Champ weighs about 55 lbs now and Cara about 40. They
passed their obedience training with flying colors. She was amazed at how well behaved they
were. They were the babies of the class. The trainer used rewards, but also used a choker collar
which I have decided I do not like at all. I tried the gentle leader on both of them- it was too funny-
they looked like bucking broncos trying to get them off. I think I will try the harness made by the
same company- we will probably all be much happier. I hope to have them trained further, but I
am not sure I will use the same trainer. Both the pups love to ride in the car and go everywhere
with us. As soon as they hear the keys rattle, they are sitting at our feet with that look that says-
can I go? huh? please, can I go? How can you refuse? They love to have other dogs around too.
My Shepard has lost his excess weight since they c
ame, and my son's 2 year old boxer gives them a run for their money when he visits. They also
love children.Their little nubbies go a mile a minute when they see a little one. I will be making
them both sweaters as it is getting pretty cold up here in Maine. Well I guess that's all for now. I
will update with any changes.

UPDATE 9/13/05 - Well Champ and Cara went for their clip and snip today. They wanted to keep
Cara overnight and decided to also keep Champ since they have never and I mean never been
apart. I can't tell you how empty the house seems tonight. Our Shepard, Zeb, seems lost without
them. I know they are getting pampered. I called the Vet a few times =)) today to check on them
and was told they are calm (I need to see that to believe it) and were sitting up in the front office
with the secretary looking up at her when I last called. They got weighed this morning and Champ
weighs 52 lbs!!!! and my little Cara weighed in at 35. I will keep you all posted as we go. I hope to
enroll them in some further obedience training in the near future. They are so smart and sooooo
adorable! Don't I sound like a proud mamma?=)) Can't wait to see them tomorrow. Thank you
again for our beautiful babies,

UPDATE 8/30/05 - Cara and Champ have settled in nicely. Jerry and I are very well trained-)
Seriously, they are wonderful babies. They never cease to amaze us as to how smart they are.
They love to ride in the car and Champ like to be the Scout on all of our trips. He gets in between
the 2 front seats, places his leg over my husbands shoulder and watches the road like he is
navagating. It is the funniest thing I have ever seen. Cara just likes to sleep when she rides, I
guess she figures her big brother has everything under control. They are very healthy, Cara is
over her GI upset and is back on the Nutreo Lamb and Rice. They go in for a nip and tuck next
month. They are going to both spend the night as I think Cara will do better with Champ staying
with her. It will be a lonely night without them. They have taken over our love seat- heaven help
any visitors who try to claim it. My daughter came home with her boyfriend on Friday and they
were cuddled up on it until you guessed it- along came 2
active puppies wanting to sit on it with them and wrestle. They finally did decide that there was
more room on their beds and decided to settle down on them. They finished their obedience
training on Saturday. We gave them special treats for graduation. They both did very well, they
are sooo smart. They were the youngest students in the class and they definitely showed what
they are made of.
Presently Cara is playing with her favorite toy- a moose with a squeeker. She looks so cute when
she runs around with it hanging out of her mouth, making it squeek. Have I said recently how
much we love our babies? I am so glad we got the two of them,it has been soooo good for them
both.Well, I gotta close for now. It's pretty quiet and I know that means I better go see what the
Dynamic Duo are up to. Thank you for letting them join our family!]

UPDATE 7/9/05  - Champ and Cara are amazing! They are the sweetest most loving puppies! My
husband is going to put a sign on our fence that says Beware of Boxers- will kiss you to death!
They have adjusted very well. Cara loves our cat Gabe and is constantly trying to kiss him.
Unfortunately the love is not returned, just tolerated. Champ has a stuffed moose that he likes to
carry around-it squeeks and he seems to like the sound. They love to play and wrestle outside
and their energy is unending. They are growing well. Champ weighs in at 26 lbs and Cara is
23.They love to ride in the car, and we are taking a field trip to the pet store today to take them
shopping. Cara has needed to have a special diet of IVD Venison and potato which we feed to
both of them, since they like to share everything. We are in the process of mixing it with some of
the Nutro Lamb and rice to see how she does. She had a terrible sensitivity and everything was
just passing right through her. She is much better now , and we are hoping that she will be able
to go back on her regular food eventually.Whatever she needs she will get though. They will be
starting obedience training next Saturday. That should be fun and we are looking forward to it. I
am so grateful every day for the love and joy they have brought into our lives. They have made
my loss of Harley a little easier, even though there is not a day that goes by that I do not think of
her and miss her.I will let you know how the training goes. They are so very smart. I think it will go
very well. Thank you so much for letting us bring these two wonderful little creatures into our lives.

UPDATE 6/4/05 - Champ and Cara are doing beautifully. They have settled in well, are very
curious about our kitty(Cara tries to box her), and seem to love our German Shepard. They climb
all over him, and our little Cara kisses him all the time. We have had some problems with Cara's
bowels, so we rewormed both of our babies and just had some new samples checked at their vet
appointment yesterday, June 3. Both were negative, so Dr. Sara thinks Cara has some GI
sensitivities. She and Champ are now eating a new food with Venison and potato and they seem
to love it. It seems to be helping her bowel problem too. We are finally sleeping through the night.
Being outside in the pouring rain at 2AM is a little hard. Both pups are housebroken, and sleep
well together in their ' puppy playpen '.We are enjoying them sooo much. They keep us laughing
all the time.We have started leash training and yjey DO NOT like it at all. They are fine with their
collars, just no leash please. We are waiting to hear from a training center to get them started
with puppy kindergarden. Our hope is that eventually we can have them Canine Good Citizen and
Therapy Dog certified. They have gone shopping and their very first picture was in the shopping
cart at Pet Quarters, they were quite a hit. They love to go shopping there! We will update further
as we go. We are very blessed to have this beautiful brother and sister in our lives. By the way,
they want to say hi to Judy and to thank her for taking such good care of them until they left for
their forever home.
