UPDATE 10/19/05 - Miles is doing so awesome! We love his cute face and funny personality, he is so fun to have
around! He was not happy that he didn't have a 'throne' like my other dog so we had to go out and get him one too
(his own Papasan chair)now he is ruling the house with his adoptive brother! He continues to walk like a
gentleman, follows all his commands and when he had to go to his 'Auntie Sheila's' house while we were in
Vegas last week she didn't want to return him! Her daughter was so in love with him but we told her 'sorry, we want
our doggie back'! I am so happy this worked out, we love our Milesy and are lucky he found us! Thanks SCBR!
9/05 - Miles has been adopted!
9/16/05- Miles had his vet visit on Wednesday and passed with flying colors! He had a little tummy ache but seems
to be feeling much better now (probably too many treats). We discovered that he had an old injury due to a car
accident a few years ago but as the vet said, you couldn't really tell- it doesn't slow him down a bit! Right now he is
lounging on the couch with his buddy Draco, kinda sad its raining and they can't go to the Dog Park today but he'll
survive! He has a very sweet disposition and LOVES kids, the only time he pulls on a leash is to go see whatever
kid he spots and then just sits there patiently while they pet him. He is a beautiful boxer and just such a good boy-
he will make a great companion to anyone who takes him. We love him, the vet loved him and everyone who
meets him comments on how calm and sweet he is! He's still great on the leash, is less and less bouncy when
you come in and is eating fine! Will send more cute pictures this weekend- the other pictures don't really do him
justice, he is very handsome!
9/8/05 - Miles is doing so well at my house! I have fostered some sweet dogs in the past year but this one has got
to be the sweetest! He just aims to please, follows all commands, doesn't run away when you have him off leash,
loves toys, dogs, kids- especially!, people. We love him too. We basically let him & my dog have the run of the
house during the day and he is not destructive, hasn't had any accidents and my neighbor tells me he hasn't heard
a peep from my house during the day, the only time he barks is when I pull up in my car and thats only because
Draco gets him going!! H e will be getting updated shots at the Vet on Tuesday so I will update him after the visit
but just wanted everyone to know how wonderful this dog is. If you are looking for a big love bug who is just a lot of
fun and good with kids, look no further- Miles is your dog! We will be sad to see him go but hope that he finds the
right family that is committed to keeping him forever!!(PS- we've discovered that if you ignore him when you first
walk in the door and let him outside right away it cuts down on the bouncing.) Get your application in now, I have a
feeling he will be adopted out soon!
9/5/05 - Miles made it through his long trip from Northern ME to MA just fine, he is an owner surrender due to
divorce -poor baby! He is a total sweetie-pup who was a little confused about being back in the care of SCBR after
3 years, but my family and I will help him feel comfortable and loved again. So far so great, he is a big beautiful
brindle boy with a nice black mug. He is a little bouncy when you first come in the house but he will be trained not
to do that- you can count on it! He loves my dog Draco, they ran off together in the backyard and played just fine-
he is not aggressive and very sweet so far! He loves kids, met a bunch yesterday and acted like a gentleman to
all. He is a very polite walker by the way, I took both him & Draco out together and unlike Draco, he doesn't pull and
prefers to stay by your side. He's not a huge drooler but needs to learn that people food is not for him! I am sure
he is very trainable and will be having a blast with us while learning! Great dog, more as I get to know him!!
