MAXAMILLION ("MAX")

7-30-05 Sorry for a late update, but my first update got lost.  Max arrived at the Lodge last Saturday, thanks to Bert
and Andrea.  Max's family had to make that very hard decision to surrender him to rescue.  They just had a baby and
the doctor told them they couldn't have any pets because the baby has very bad allergies.  I know that it was a very
hard thing for them to do, but of course they did the best thing ever for Max.  Max is a very large boy and quite
handsome I might add.  He did very well with introductions with the residence boxers.  He just wants to play and
play.  His first day here I think he was in his glory.  My two sons each had a friend here from out of town and believe
me, Max got quite a bit of attention.  We also had company that night and Max greeted everybody with joy.  He got
himself so tired from all the attention that he sprawled himself on the couch and went to sleep. He has now fell into
the routine here and has fit in very well. By the third day here he has had full run of the house with Katie and Rocky.
The queen has set him straight that she rules the roast. When the queen is eating she doesn't like anybody near
the bowl.  Max attempted to go to the bowl and she went after him, he jumped in the air and flipped on his back.  It is
pretty funny to watch such a large dog be afraid of Katie, but you know how girls are.  Max now lets me know when
he has to go outside, he sits by the door and will not budge till you take him out to his business.  Yesterday I had
him on the run while I was scooping poop, I looked up and he was in my neighbors yard.  When I called him, he
just stared to run, he thought it was a game.  He has had obedience training and does very well.  I can tell that his
family really loved him and took very good care of him.  He is one special boxer.  He sleeps up in our room with
Rocky and Katie. If you are looking for a special guy, Max is the one for you so get those apps in.  Look for more
updates.
