UPDATE 10/30/05 - Bosco's been settling in and is doing pretty well so far. He loves walking around the
neighborhood and saying hi to all the other dogs here. We've taken him on some hikes in the woods around here,
and he really loves walking along the river.
He started obedience training a couple of weeks ago and already seems to be improving. It's an 18-week course
that meets every other week. He's good at sit and stay and is learning to go into his crate on command (especially
when he wants dinner!).
He's had two troubling incidents since he got here, both involving frightening unprovoked aggression towards a
person in a pet shop. We are keeping a close eye on him and not taking him into overstimulating environments,
and we hope that obedience training will eventually teach him about appropriate behavior toward people.
He's also had a handful of accidents in the house that we can't explain. We think they may have to do with anxiety,
but we're not sure.
He's getting much better about separation anxiety. We leave him loose in the house when we go out, and he's
usually sleeping calmly in his bed when we return.
We'll keep you all posted!

9/25/05 - Mask has been adopted!

9/17/05 - I'm home. No one told me what was really going to happen at the vets office .Foster mom says I need to
rest for a few days. I am a little tired.  I don't mind because I get to sleep on the couch while she watches TV. I love
to go for rides in the car.  I get in and lay down and take a nice nap until we get there.  Everyone at the vets office
loved me.(What's not to love). They couldn't believe I was lost.  They said I was so well behaved.  I thought maybe
one of them would take me home.  Mom made me a steak for being such a good boy.  I am a wonderful
companion to young and old.  I like to cuddle but also like to play if you play with me,  I am very gentle and don't
jump on people.  I sit when told. I have one bad habit. I love to give those wet boxer kisses.  Foster dad was
sleeping and I couldn't help myself, I cleaned his whole face.  He didn't get mad he just told me to lay down. I did,
but 2 minutes later I cleaned his face again. Foster mom says this can't be my forever home. She said there isn't
any room on their bed. Three fur kids already sleep with them.  So please won't someone find a small space for
me on their bed or on the floor next to their bed for me. I need a bed to call my own.  Waiting to hear from you.

9/15/05 - Hi, Just a short note to introduce myself.  I'm a sweet, loveable boy. I came from a shelter because I was
lost and couldn't find my way home. I spent a week there. I'm not sure how they did it but (Martin) picked me up and
brought me to Seaside Boxer Haven. My foster mom's home is like being in heaven. I had a great meal that she
cooked for me.Then this nice smelling oatmeal bath. Just when I thought it couldn't get better she brought me in
the den and let me go on the couch. Its sure beats sleeping on a cement floor.I already have an appointment for
tomorrow to be nutered and brought up to date on my shots. Foster dad told me life will get better then this when I
have my own forever home. I'll write some more after I get home from the vet. Its time dor me to go to sleep now.
Night night. One more thing please get your applications in.
