11/22/05 - Maddie is just the nicest pup. She has been here 3 weeks and is doing great on her housebreaking. I
work from home so it's easy to let her out and she follows the lead from the other dogs. Her worms should be
gone, she is visiting the vet tomorrow and we will have a fecal exam done. She sleeps in a crate at night and
crates during the day if I run errands. Not a peep out of her, she actually goes in there during the day to rest. She
eats twice a day and has a hearty appetite for such things as veggie mix, strawberries, yogurt and cottage cheese.
She is not allowed to play nip nor jump up on people, she sits for treats and is well on her way to being a welcome
addition to anyone's home.
11/3/05 - The Pup Tent would like to introduce Maddie. Maddie started out life in Ohio and was sent to live at a very
high kill shelter with her sister. Last week, Maddie was the only one left and next on the list to be euthanized to
make room for the never ending parade of pups and dogs that don't have homes. Second Chance stepped up
and decided to give her a better shot for a long happy life! Maddie is playful, happy and has an all around easy
going nature. She is learning the ropes here at the Tent with 5 boxers that think she is the neatest squeeky toy
around. All in all they are very gentle with her and she seems to like them. I have no idea what her mix might be,
nor how big she will grow, but I think she will be a medium size adult. She has what appears to be a belly full of
worms, and will see the Boxer Doxer soon to have them treated and a rabies shot. Interested?
