UPDATE 8/14/08 - Lilo is the sweetest girl ever, she curls into a ball with the wiggle dance whenever
we come home and she loves to meet people and other dogs.  She and Tex (male boxer) are best
buds and can't get enough romping and playing but she sometimes needs to put the older and bigger
Tex in his place (haha) which she does easily.  She has truly come full circle from a quite shy little girl
to now being quite outgoing and the 1st to bark if there's a noteworthy reason...
She loves her multiple daily walks and being able to run loose from time to time.  Lilo is the best
addition I could have ever gotten to the family !

UPDATE 5/3/05 - It's been awhile since I updated Abby, but she is doing splendidly. She is such a
big love. She can't bear to sit by your side, if she doesn't somehow get you to place your hands on
her in one form or other. My favorite way of watching TV with her is to have her lay next to me, her
head in my lap, while I just caress, her soft, floppy ears (we can sit this way for hours). Abby's
learned a few lessons over the past few months: she's learned to speak when spoken to (or rather,
when you show her FOOD), she's learned that if she snuggles with Luigi (one of our cats), he'll roll
over and give her his tummy, which she then mushes her face into (very cute to watch), she's learned
that if she tries to sneak food away from Buttons (another one of our cats), HE WILL SCRATCH,
and she's learned that if mommy and daddy sit on the couch together, she can always manage to
wedge herself between mommy and daddy until she knocks mommy off! She's also learned that if she
cries like Chew-bacca (think Star Wars) and jumps out and down, her daddy will always take her for
a walk, even if her last one was recent. We just adore Abby, and we are waiting for our first child, so
I and very excited to see our new baby with Abby.

3/05 - Lilo has been adopted!

3/7/05 - The Thunder and Lightening Boxer Retreat would like to welcome another young guest into
our home.  Seems like we have had a lot of young ones lately.  Some of the older residents seem to
think they are in their second childhood playing with all these young pups.  Lilo is a sweet young
boxer girl who is just learning how to play with other dogs.  She will run for hours in the yard with our
other foster Zues who is just a little older than her.  Lilo can keep up with him and then some.
Although Zeus is bigger and has longer legs Lilo makes up the difference with speed and agility.  She
runs and jumps like a little deer and twists in mid air to land on the other side of Zeus meanwhile he is
kind of looking around as if to say what happend here?  Lilo is also petite enough so that she can
cuddle comfortably in your lap and does so readily.  Lilo likes kids but would do better in a home
with older kids as she is still very jumpy.  Lilo has her basic commands down and will do them if you
insist, she is kind of like my kids she has selective hearing. :o)  If you think MS. LILO would be the
perfect addition to your family get that application in quick, I'm sure this girl won't be around long.
