UPDATE 10/1/10 - Kiara, or Kia as we call her has now also finnaly adopted the "Papa" after
almost 5 Years. He is Kias best friend now, since he always has a treat in his pocket and gives the
best cratches when he gets home. She will stay at his side until I have to leave the room. (Because she
is attached to my kneecap):-) Kia still does not bark, nor is interested in any other dog. We will visit a
doggie park periodically, but she does not like it much. She is happy to be back home in her back
yard, which she feels is: "bigger and better anyway". Plus, no other dogs or anything else will bother
her there,- she is safe at last. Well, unless a rabbit may appear from the woods and scare her, then
she'll run to the back pattiodoor, where I waited for her. As long as Kia can see me, she is fine
outside, even in the woods behind the house. If I go inside, then she comes running like the "wind".
Since Kia does not bark, she has learned how to sing for: Mama or Papa or a Treat, other than that
she is very quiet, happy to in the same room with me. When I have to leave the house, I give her a
cookie and tell her to be good. However, she will not eat her cookie until I return, then she is happy,
we play a little and she'll settle down to eat her treat.
The only place I can leave her alone is in the house. When we go for a ride, she will stay in the car
and wait. However, I can not leave the windows down, because she will and has jumped out to
follow me. Like I said, she is attached to me kneecap. We love her dearly and are happy she is part
of our live.
5/12/05 - Kiara has been adopted.
