| JOSEY WALES 8/4/05 - I am very devastated today as Josey passed on unexpectedly last night. He had such severe anxiety since coming into rescue that the vet thinks he may have had an underlying heart condition common to boxers & worked himself into a heart attack. I am in complete shock and it will be awhile before I can get beyond this. 7/31/05 - The "Outlaw" Josey Wales arrived yesterday thanks to the group of transport volunteers & Lori for holding him until I got out of work last night. He is a very cute fawn 2 1/2 year old boy that was surrendered as his owner had some health issues and could not care for him anymore. He said he is named after a Clint Eastwood movie called "The Outlaw Josey Wales". He seems to answer to Josey & Joe. Josey is very nervous & stressed out about leaving his home, so we will give him some time to settle in before introducing him to my dogs. He has met the cats & shows a lot of interest in them, so I will have to work on that to see if he gets any better about them. He is going in to be neutered on Wednesday & any shots he may need.
