10/25/05 - Ishea is still patiently waiting for the ride home. She is the nicest dog ever. She
would do so well with a very active family, maybe a jogging partner? She has lots of energy and
does not act like a 4 yr old dog. Ishea continues to get along with all the dogs here. She is so
great in the house. She is mellow and relaxes for a good TV show. Outside she is crazy, running,
jumping, bouncing playing. She wants a family so bad. She wants to be the center of your world.
She would love to go for long rides in the car, love walks or jogs. Then a nap on the couch. I
really think someone is missing out of a very special dog. Anyone that opens there home to her
will not be sorry. She doesn't understand why she does not have a family to love
.

9/14/05
- Ishea is doing wonderful here. All she wants is to be loved and made of. Ishea is
well behaved, loves everyone she comes into contact with. It does sometimes take her a few
minutes to warm up. Ishea loves to play and jump like you would not believe. Ishea has had no
issues with the dogs here and even puts up with the mastiff puppies that drive her crazy. Ishea
would also be happy as an only dog, as she loves all the attention. She just wants someone to
spend lots of time with her. Ishea would do best without cats as she does not leave them
alone. Ishea is wonderful in the crate and completely housebroken. She is ready for a family to
dedicate some time to her and she will pay you back 100 times over.

8/25/05 - Unfortunately Ishea is coming back to rescue this weekend to find another home.
The other dog and Ishea got into a big fight last week.  Since there is also now a baby on the
way, her family does not want to take any chances and decided they had to return her.   You
can see by all the updates from her new home that Ishea is a great girl & they did love her.
Please watch for more updates on Ishea in her new foster home soon!

UPDATE 8/1/05 - Ishea is doing awesome. She is up to about 62 pounds. Personally we'd like to
see about 5 more pounds, but she is so active that the vet isn't too concerned with the weight.
You should see her when she gets breakfast or supper. She will do super cookies and then she
sits so pretty and stays until Dad or Mom say it's ok. She can chow! She and Max still can't just
get it right. Max, our cat, prefers to avoid Ishea altogether and stays in his cellar haunt during
the day. However, at night, when we are all asleep, Max will sneak up and hang out on the main
floor and even creep up and check things out in our room. Ishea then does a super sniff search
in the morning, because she can obviously smell Max's night adventures. We hope that
eventually they will be able to cuddle together. Ishea is so lovey, she just wants to be held. It
gets kind of crazy sometimes...her licker gets a little out of control! But, you really couldn't ask
for a more devo ted loving family dog. Ishea finished the obedience training and is retaining the
skills. Recently she cut one of her toe pads while outside playing with Luke. We've been flushing
it daily with medicine and giving her antibiotics. Vet said pads can be slow healers, but Ishea will
be fine. She sure hasn't slowed down much! Well, that's about all for now. We are really looking
forward to the Fall and Winter (especially Winter) with Ishea. I just know she is going to love
the snow! We'll be in touch!

UPDATE 7/11/05 - Ishea continues to fit right in with our family. She gains confidence every day
and is no longer a scaredy cat when people come to visit. Ishea has been going to obedience
classes and is one of the star pupils! She is so eager to please that she will do anything you ask
her to. She now understands sit, down and heel! We are currently working on stay. Ishea is in
great health. Her bacterial infection is long gone, her coat is lustrous and she has put on some
much needed weight. She continues to be very cuddly and one of her favorite spots is on the
couch with her family!

UPDATE 6/1/05 -  Ishea has been in our home for one month now. She is learning some simple
commands and is scheduled to start obedience training at the end of the month. She gains
confidence every day, and is less frightened of new people, cars on the road, etc. Isshea gets
along wonderfully with her brother, Luke. She would still like to get to know the cat better, but
he's pretty evasive. Ishea has a ton of energy and absolutely loves going for daily walks and
runs. She has figured out what to do with the soccer ball and finds great pleasure in playing
keep away. Ishea is not all energy. One of her favorite things to do is snuggling on the couch
with mom and dad. She enjoys dog bones, riding in the car and having her teeth brushed as
well. Ishea is in good health, but needs to gain some weight, and after a minor ear infection, is
feeling great. We are very pleased with our new family member and can't remeber life before
Ishea came into our home.

UPDATE 5/5/05 - Hi all! Ishea here! So it's my first week in my new house. At first I was a little
shy with my new people, but they seemed pretty nice and fun as time went by, so I'm settling in
very nicely. You should have seen my surprise when I walked through the door that first day
and saw Luke! My people had taken me for a very long walk, which I loved so much I practically
pranced the whole way! But when we got back to the house, there he was, staring at me
through the baby gate with his dark eyes. I think my people were trying to ease us into each
other's company, but Luke and I touched noses through the gate in no time. He's so big, he
must have 30 pounds on me! But I didn't let that bother me! As soon as my people recognized
how bad we wanted to play with each other, they let us mingle and we got down to it! He was
very gentle and used his butt alot, but I'm in much better shape than he is and I have some
clever moves! It was pretty even, but eventually I wore him down pretty good. After a while,
though, we were both pretty tired and we resorted to laying down facing away from each other.
It gave me a chance to cuddle with the woman on the couch (that's right, they let me get on the
couch!). Anyways, my first night went very well. There were a couple of nice cushioned beds to
pick from, but I really wanted to be up on the big bed where the people were. They were
persistant about me sleeping in my own bed next to Luke, and so I have. But during the day, I
lay up on their bed with Luke (that's right, they let me lay on their bed during the day!).
Everyday I've been going for 3 mile jogs in the morning with the man and with the woman in the
afternoon. I then get to play with Luke a couple of times in the morning and night. I'm really
having a lot of fun at this new place and getting lots of exercise. I like lots of exercise. I have an
occasional nickname of jitterbug, whatever that means! I'm also learning some new words like
come, sit and stay. I do pretty good with sit already...the treats they give to me when I sit
pretty are good motivation, for sure! Plus there are tons of toys to play with and lots of
rawhides! It's pretty cool. Oh, there's this little black furry thing that has been avoiding me since
I got here. I tried to get a quick look at it, but it's pretty fast and got away from me. I can see
it's green eyes staring at me through a small flap in the basement door...it makes this really low
sounding grumble. I just want to play with it and say hey, but that grumble sounds pretty mean.
I think I'll give that black thing some space and in time I'm sure it will come around. It doesn't
seemed to be too bothered by Luke! Maybe I'll have a talk with Luke about the fur ball! Well,
anyways, that's pretty much it after my first few days at the new place. My people are pretty
cool...I think I'll keep them! And Luke is a lot of fun...I'm going to get him into shape in no time!
I'll check back in soon! Lots of love! Ishea

5/1/05 - Ishea has been adopted!

04/20/05 - Ishea has turned out to be one special little girl. She is sweet, loving and wonderful
in every way. Ishea loves other dogs and plays well with them. She met a 9 week old puppy
that she was so gentle with. She curled her lips over her teeth as not to hurt him. She laid right
down and let him climb all over her. Ishea loves kids and was great with all our company.  She is
wonderfully cratetrained, housebroken and so special.
Ishea also loves to go for rides in the car. She was wonderful at the vets, she got spay is up to
date on all her shots and was heartworm tested. She also had her leg checked out as she just
got her cast off. The doctor thought her leg looked great and you would never know she had
ever hurt it. Let me just tell you this girl can jump. She loves to jump up and down like a
kangaroo. She is super funny to watch. If you are willing to give this girl some love and attention
she will give it back 100 times. If you have children that want a dog to love this is the girl for
you. Ishea does need someone that will understand that it takes her a couple of days to settle
in and feel comfortable. Isheas best friend Gus got adopted today and she doesn't understand
why she is still looking for a new home. She knows she is a super dog.

04/06/05 - Ishea is a little spit fire, she has really come out of her shell. Ishea and Gus are
buddies and have fun playing all day long. Ishea still needs to get use to new sights and sounds
and would do well with obedience to build her confidence but boy it is crazy how a couple of
days will change someone. She is comfortable now, flies around her, can jump a building in a
single bound. She can do a lap quicker than a greyhound. She can also listen and will follow
commands. Ishea is a cute girl who really needs someone to spoil her and another dog to build
her confidence. She is being spay on Friday and then will be ready to find a home to call her own
