I'm very sad to inform you that Dodger went to The Rainbow Bridge on Wed 12/28/05. I miss him terribly and it's difficult to write of his passing. When I adopted him in Feb of 02 I knew he was old and hoped that we would be able to at least enjoy a year together...Well this coming Feb would have been 4 yrs. He was very old and up until the past couple of months was in great shape.
Dodger was a remarkable dog. For those who didn't know him he was terribly abused before being rescued by SCBR...His body was covered with horrible scars from old wounds, he weighed 38lbs when rescued (compared to the 68lbs when rehabilitated) and he had a terrible case of mange when found in NJ. In spite of all the horrible things that had been done to him he was the sweetest and most loyal dog I have ever known. It was obvious to me that before he came upon his "hard times" that someone somewhere loved him very much. His manners were flawless and he was extremely devoted to our family. Dodger we miss you and love you.
