DEUCE

UPDATE 11/18/05 - Hi, just checking in from my comfy recliner.....Mom doesn't like me
on the couch, so she gave me my own recliner.  If I've played too hard, sometimes my
human brother will put on the messager, life is good.  Mom and Dad just got me a new
bed to put beside theirs since I'm a bed hog.  But even with my own bed, I know that
Dad leaves for work every morning at 5:30 and Mom would rather have the bed warm,
so up I jump and cuddle up.  I'm trying to be a good boy but I have such a hard time
keeping my nose out of the trash.  Things are pretty exciting at home, we're getting a
new, big house built and if I am really good, Mom said we'll see if I can a boxer brother
to play with.  Can't wait, I'll be the best I can for that.  I'll check in again in a couple
months.

UPDATE 10/12/05 - Deuce is doing much better with Salem (cat), the King of the
House, or maybe it's Salem that has adjusted to Deuce.  We tried to not crate Deuce
during the day even for a short time while he was alone, but he just loves to explore.
He showed us just how many feathers it takes to make a down pillow, I couldn't even
see the rug in my bedroom.  He went and had his first Salon appointment yesterday
and came home with a new skeleton bandana for Halloween.  He has gained weight and
enjoys his surroundings.  With the remote area that we live in, training class has been
delayed.  We nissed the first round of class due to us not being able to prove a rabies
shot.  We hope to have him enrolled within the next week with a local trainer for some
one on one.  He still has some issues with Counter surfing and some of his manners.
Will update again next month.....

UPDATE 9/8/05 - Deuce is doing well.  He fit right in with the human family, still adjusting to Salem
(cat) being the King of the house.  He is showing separation anxiety, but we're working on it.  This
weekend was his first weekend camping.  First night was tough, but then he realized the trailer
was his home for the weekend and adjusted well.  He just loves people.  We're working with him
on not jumping up on Gramma and almost knocking her down.  He missed this months obiedience
class due to the fact that his shot records could not be provided to the school.  I have him
scheduled for ALL his vaccinations again, poor boy most likely is current, but with no proof, he has
to go through it all again.  I will update you again next month.....

8/11/05 - Deuce has been adopted!

8/4/05 - It has been a few days now since I arrived at Seaside Boxer Haven. There are 3 resident boxers here and a
Wheaton who is visiting. I'm fine with all of them except the female boxer. She doesn't like me. Foster mom says its
not me. She doesn't like any other dogs except her 2 brothers. I told her I could be her 3rd brother. She didn't even
laugh. She showed me her teeth. I guess jokes are not going to win her over. I'm eating 3 big meals a day. I need to
gain some weight. I'm a real good boy. I don't have any accidents when I have the run of the house. When I'm put in
another room and I know everyone is home then I have an accident. Foster mom says I'm being spiteful. I love to
sleep on the couch. As soon as foster dad sits down watch out because here I come. Full speed ahead. I jump
right into his lap. He loves it. I pay more attention to him then resident boxers do. We both fall asleep. He snores I
don't. I know the commands sit and come. I don't steal or chew on anything. I just love to be with people of all ages
and other dogs. Please find it in your hearts to adopt me. I would love to have a family of my own.

Deuce would be good with a young family or older family. He is very gentle and not wild.

8/2/05 - Deuce arrived at Seaside Boxer Haven yesterday. What a long ride for him.  He was so good in the car.
Slept almost all the way. He is a very handsome  fawn boxer. Underweight, but we are working on that. He is eating
very  nicely. Stayed in the crate all night with no accidents. He is very loving and loves to sit in your lap. He thinks he
is a lap dog. I will update in  a few days when I learn more about him. Please get your applications in as this
beautiful sweet boxer baby won't be here too long.
