UPDATE 1/16/07 - We love Clay so much!! He can be a very good boy and a very bad boy! He listens (most of the
time), he is happy to see everyone all the time furry and non-furry! He has had no real medical problems! He can
be bad like getting on the couch, not listening when there is too much stimuli,  and counter surfing! The counter
surfing got him in to trouble the other day. He got hives from probaby the bag of croutons that he tore open and
ate!! So we had an appointment with the vet and he is all better! Clay does get jealous of the cats when they get
affection and sometimes he pushes me and my husband apart to get in his lap! It's my own fault I let him do it or
we have to hear him whine and "talk"! He needs to calm down becasue he's going to be a big brother in August!
Well my next update will be probably in September to update you on how he is doing with the baby!

UPDATE 7/1/06 - Woah! time has flown! whoops forgot to do the 6 month update! in 2 months he will have been
with us for a year!
Clay is a wonderful dog! He is a good boy, most of the time. He has his days where he wants to be naughty and
times where he is great!
We go for walks everyday for my benefit and his. We took him out to camp a couple weeks ago and let him go.We
are still nervous about letting him off his leash he chased another dog that wanted to be chased and then booked
it across the field! ohmigosh I was scared that he wouldn't come back but he did thank god! I think that he knows
that we are his home and will come back to us no matter what. well until 1 year!!

UPDATE 12/23/05 - Clay has adjusted beautifully! It's like he's been here since day one! He is just one of the
family!! Clay Loves the snow he's so funny in it! I wish I could figure out how to post pictures because I have a few
of them to put on the website.
Until 6 months when hopefully we have more to say!

UPDATE 11/23/05 - Clay has adjusted very well I wish I could say the same for the cats, but they will get over it
eventually. Clay acts just like one of the family!!
Clay loves to ride in the car so much we have to spell the word if we don't want him to get too excited!! He is so
happy to be with us.
Obedience training has helped. I think it helped us more than him but we all learned together!!
until next time

UPDATE 11/18/05 - Clay is adjusting just fine he is one of the family and sure acts like it to!!! Clay loves to ride,
when I take him out to do his business he pulls me towards my car as if he's saying "lets go mummy"!!! The cats
still don't care for their new brother but they are not as bad as they were when he first came home, but they will
adjust eventually. They act like regular kids "mummy he's looking at me" it seems that way! LOL
Obedience training was helpful I think we learned more than Clay did. Our baby was the star pupil because he had
already had some training!
well until next month with more updates

UPDATE 10/17/05 - Clay is adjusting beautifully!!! His 1st month went by fast, it only seems like yesterday that we
got him. He was a very bad boy this past weekend he slipped out the door when a visitor was leaving, but he went
right to one of our neighbors' houses and into the barn where his dogs are, so he just wanted to say 'hi'. I think he
escaped running because it has been raining A LOT up here in Maine and we haven't be able to give him the long
walks that we are all used to!! He started doggy school and is doing very well there! Clay still paces quite a bit but
he's only been here for 4 weeks! That first week he was here he kept looking at the door expecting to leave and go
'home', we told him that this was his home and we are his new mommy and daddy and he will be loved and
adored! He will understand soon, when he forgets his old homes and comes to love ours as his own.

9/17/05 - Clay has been adopted!

9/14/05 - Clay was returned to rescue due to some changes in his adoptive family. He is a super sweet boy that
thinks he is a lap dog. He has lived with children that he adores and is wonderful with other dogs. Clay is crate
trained and housebroken and needs a family that will dedicate some time to him. This boy is cute and sweet and
will not be in rescue long.
