UPDATE 11/29/05 - Spartacus has adjusted to his new home and is becoming comfortable with the
cat. I have been able to leave them alone in the house together without any problems. We have not
started obedience training since we are dealing with some health issues. He is currently on antibiotics for
bronchitis and a urinary tract infection. Tests have indicated large amounts of protein in his urine. Since
we were not given any information about his past, the doctors are trying to determine the cause and if his
kidneys have been damaged. Other than that he has been great. He has a wonderful personality, is very
playful and now weighs 161 lbs. We have not had any problems with adult guests visiting the house and
he is very happy to see friends who come over now and then.
5/05 - Charlie has been adopted!
05/14/05 Hi Everyone. I'm back at Seaside Boxer Haven. I wasn't very nice to the resident cat so I
need to be returned to rescue. My foster mom was so happy to see me. She really missed me. I
overheard her talking to her friends and telling them how sad my family was to bring me back. They
already fell in love with me. (I'm a real lovable guy). Foster mom is sure that there is another family
without a cat that will fall in love with me. I've learned to sit, and play frisbee. I now know what greenies
are. I have a package all to myself. I also have a brand new bed and collar. Won't you please put in
your application with my name.
05/11/05 Charlie is coming back to rescue because he can not live with a cat. His new dad said he is a
great boy and he is very sad to have to give him back but is afraid the cat might not make it out ok if
Charlie stay. So if you have a home for a beautiful boy with no cats he might be the dog for you.
05/05/05 Charlie has been adopted!
05/01/05 - It's my second day at Seaside Boxer Haven. What a life I have here. Foster mom gave me
an oatmeal bath. I now smell great. Foster dad was calling me stinky. I'm a small size boxer with a big
heart. I love everyone. I'm what they call a reverse brindle. I have a black face, which is so cute. I get to
sit on foster mom's lap all the time. She keeps kissing me but I don't know how to kiss back. I finally
learned that you don't play with a dog biscuit. you're suppose to eat them. I'm housebroken, I don't
counter surf or steal or beg. I'll go in my crate but I really don't want to. I can be trusted so now I'm in a
big room when they go out or at night. I don't jump on people or the furniture. We are working on
teaching me what I'm suppose to do when you say sit (i don't have a clue). Wish me luck as I have a big
day at the vet tomorrow. I'll write some more in a few day and let you know how I did. Please get your
applications in real soon so I can have a forever home.
4/30/05 - Charlie arrived at Seaside Boxer Haven this afternoon thanks to Jay. He is a very very
handsome boy. Extremely friendly and loves everyone. He is a small male. Ate a good dinner and went
right in the crate when asked to. He will be going for his shots and to be neutered on Monday.
Tomorrow he will take a shower with me as he is very dirty. Will update more tomorrow.
