UPDATE 12/21/06 - It is hard to believe that Buster has been with us for a year on Decemember 24th.  He has fit in
so nicely that it seems like he has always been there.
He is very energetic and we are always telling him he is just like the energizer bunny, keeps going and going and
going.  Even when he comes home from day care, after playing all day, he takes a quick 30 minute nap, if that, and
is ready to go again.  He has a habit lately of wanting to start playing with his toys around 10:30 p.m. at night.
Which means if we are already in bed, it is not unusual to hear something bang against the wall, which would be
buster throwing his favorite toy around the room.  Lo and behold we have to get up and wrangle the toy away from
him so we can get some sleep.
He recently needed his updated shots, so off to the vet we go.  He is really a big love bug and thinks that everyone
should be paying attention to him, and if not they can end up getting one of his big paws on their legs until they pay
attention.  He absolutely hates to have his temperature taken in his ears, I'm not sure if it is the high pitch sound it
makes or not.  In any event, even though we have to hold him so the vet can do what he needs to do, his little
stubby is wagging just as fast as it can.  The vet thought this was very funny since he obviously hated what they
were doing to him, but yet that stubby never stopped wagging.  He now weights 71 lbs which the vet thought was a
good weight for him.  He is very health and very happy.
Dallas and Buster have become best buddies, and where you find one, you will the other.  They hate to be
separated from each other.  It was another great match made by Leann.
We can't imagine life without him.

UPDATE 8/9/06 -  I am sorry for the delay in sending in Buster's update.  Time certainly does fly.  I cannot believe
that Buster has been with us for just about 8 months already.  He has adjusted beautifully.
We had the little scare with the tumor like growth on his ear.  This was removed and sent to the lab.  Luckily it was
just a type of growth and it was not cancerous.  However, trying to keep him calm until the stitches were removed
was nearly impossible.  It didn't seem to bother him at all.  We did have another incident in which I came home
from work to find blood splattered on the picture window in the living room and on the sliders going to the deck.  I,
of course, quickly went to search what dog the blood was coming from.  It was Buster.  He was still bleeding a little
from his nose, so apparently he for some reason had a bloody nose.  Of course it was after hours to take him to
our regular vet, so off we go to the emergency clinic.  By the time we arrived the bleeding had stopped.  He also
had a little cough so we figured we would check that at the same time.  While waiting for the vet at the emergency
clinic, Buster decided all is well and decided to do his play bow to try to get the other animals in the office to play, to
no avail.
The vet checked him out and could not determine what had caused his bloody nose but did not seemed
concerned.  As far as the cough she said that a lot of dogs had come in with pnemonia (not sure of spelling) so
they did an x-ray just to be sure.  The x-rays came back clear so again they have no idea what was causing the
cough.  So $300.00 later, and no answers, we head back home.  They did give him some type of medicine for the
cough, and whatever it was it helped.  So he is no worse for the wear.
We are so happy with Buster and truly enjoy having him.  Dallas and him are still inseparable.  Both are a little
jealous of each other but we simply make sure they each have ample time with us.  He loves going to daycare and
he and Dallas run the show there.  He loves going for rides in the car as well.  We always get lots of compliments
on the "boys" and they are usually on their best behavior (you notice I said "usually").  Buster is one to give lots of
kisses, where as Dallas just sits back and if he feels like it will let someone touch him. Dallas is a little on the shy
side when it comes to meeting new people.
Every night when I arrive from work I am greeted by two wiggly boxers, who make what is sometimes a difficult day,
much better.  I couldn't imagine life without either one of them.

UPDATE 5/15/06 - Another update on Buster.  I just recently did an update on Buster, but figured I would  do
another quick one.  Last week we noticed a bump on Buster's ear.  It was the size of a small pimple.  We thought
perhaps he pinched it at daycare or just in rough housing at home with Dallas.  It seemed to grow much bigger by
the end of that week, so off we went to the vets.
The vet took a scraping and put it under the microscope and did notice what she called some cancer granules.  So
to make a long story short, so to speak, he is going in tomorrow morning for a minor surgery to have the lump
removed.  We will have to await the results. As soon as I have the results I will let everyone know.
Please say a little prayer for my Buster.  I know tomorrow is going to be a minor surgery, however, it is the results
I'm more nervous about.  Having lost Sierra to cancer a couple years ago, it does put me a little bit on edge.

UPDATE 5/9/06 - Hi all,
I have updated Buster (adopted 12/24/05) a couple times and it doesn't seem to work as far as it actually getting
into his profile under adopted dogs.  So..I figured I would update Buster Brown as we call him ...here.
Buster is doing awesome.  Initially, as some of you may recall, it was a little rough going.  Dallas wanted no part of
Buster being in his house or touching "his" toys.  We had just lost our precious Chaos a couple weeks before, so I
am sure that he was still confused over what happened to his big sister.   Eventually, they got along better and
better every day.  Now, they are inseparable.
Buster goes to daycare twice a week.  He does wonderful at daycare and gets along fine with all the dogs, well
with the exception of one, named Buster coincidentally.  But he and Dallas have a great time at daycare.  Dallas
seems protective of him and sometimes they have to put Buster in Dallas in separate play groups because
sometimes Dallas doesn't want to share his brother with the other dogs.  They absolutely love him. They say he is
well behaved and just fun to watch.  Needless to say they both sleep well at night after a hard day of play at daycare.
One of Buster's favorite things is taking every single toy out of the toy box and throwing them around the house, I
mean literaly tossing them in the air.  He will grab one in his mouth, throw it up and air, and wherever it drops it
stays.  I have more than once been hit by flying toys.  He seems to think they belong outside the toybox rather than
in.  If I pick up all the toys and put them in their toy box, he will go and take them out one by one, and of course the
routine starts over again.
He was a little on the thin side when we adopted him.  Now he has some weight on and looks absolutely beautiful.
I believe he is at his perfect weight right now.  I will have to scan some pictures of him and Dallas so you can see
how handsome he and Dallas are, sorry just a mom's right to brag.
Buster has been a wonderful addition to our family and we couldn't imagine life without him.  Its been over 4
months and he fit right in from the start.  He is very outgoing and loves everyone he comes in contact with.  He
loves rough housing with his dad.
During the day, when they are not at daycare, apparently they both sit in front of the big picture window and watch
people and cars go by.  I have had more than one person stop and tell me how beautiful they are and how funny
they think it is that they both keep watch from the window for any sign of mom or dad coming home, or perhaps any
intruders that walk on "their" turf.  They both think that no one should be allowed walking on "their" street, as they
will give them a little bark to scare them away.  I think people actually look for them to be in the window when they
drive or walk by now.  So, all is well, and we enjoy having 2 boxer babies greet us at the top of the stairs when we
get home.  Buster is in his forever home and we love him to pieces.

UPDATE 12/27/05 - When Chaos went to the bridge on December 6th, of course our family was devastated,
including her fur brother Dallas.  We were beside ourselves with how to help Dallas deal with the loss of Chaos.
He stopped playing, ate very very little, and simply didn't want to play much.  After a lot of thinking we decided that in
order to help Dallas that perhaps he needed a playmate to help ease the pain of losing his fur sister and to help
him not be so lonely.  Although we were not sure we were ready, we needed to make Dallas the happy little guy
that he was.  Hence, we adopted Buster on December 24th.  He looks like he couuld be Dallas' real brother, with
the white on his face.
The introductions were quite rocky.  Dallas was not very nice to say the least.  It was a side of Dallas that I had not
witnessed before.  He does not act mean or aggressive at daycare with any dog, so it took me off guard.  I felt so
bad for Buster, the poor little guy didn't do anything to deserve it.
Anyway, they now are playing and sleeping together and Dallas has accepted him into the house and as a
permanent fur brother.  They play constantly and I now know that the decision to adopt a playmate for him was the
right decision.  Buster is an awesome dog.  He is so friendly and just full of boxer wiggles.  It is nice to see them
play and chase each other around the house.  He has had no accidents in the house and we have not had to crate
him. They both sleep in their beds on the floor at the bottom of our bed and sleep through the night.
Thanks to Leann who made the match......
Buster will be very loved and hopefully very happy in his new home.  I will have to send pictures of the both of them
soon so that you can see how close they really look alike.

12/24/05 - Buster has been adopted!

12/12/05 - Buster arrived last night after a long trip. Thanks to all the wonderful people that gave him a lift.  He was
a owner surrender to a shelter with his buddy Duke. He got here fairly late so settled down in his crate, had
a great dinner and didn't make a peep. He went out this morning like a good boy.  We will update you as we get to
know him.
