8/22/05 - Detainee #1353 (his SCBR tag) has settled into the routine at the Pup Tent Prison. He routinely cleans
his standard issue bowl and has decided that the upper bunk (the couch) is where he would like to sleep, it can
get rather crowded, at TV time before lights out, all the inmates vie for the upper.  He likes the excercise program
that Sunny devised for him, she won't let him do too much running as she feels that he is still rather thin and can't
afford to lose any weight so she has him on what she likes to call 'carry any ball you can find around in your mouth
for most of the day'.  Boscoe is trying to earn his GED (good educated dog) while here, he is housebroke already,
will sit before his supper is put on the floor and he will even speak for his bowl.  If he can pass the walking on the
leash exam, he should achieve the illusive GED that so many young dogs have trouble getting.  Boscoe is hoping
for an early release for good behavior too. This guy will get the highest recommendation from the Warden, he lived
at one time with children, he doesn't appear to be a jumper and he has shown no signs of aggression.  He even
met the resident 20 yr old sargeant at arms (the cat) and he didn't really give her much cause. Boscoe is headed
for the showers now, so more to come later.

8/18/05 - Boscoe "Jaws" Brown has made his way to the Pup Tent Prison. I think he was Jimmy Cagney in a
gangster movie in another life! Jaws was an owner surrender to a vet, he was brought in for a skin rash and due to
the estimates for testing, special food if he had food allergies, etc., they asked if another home could be found and
the vet contacted SCBR. Thanks to Ralph for springing him, and Bev and Jill for helping him make his get away.
He was turned over to me, the resident correction officer in cell block 2670 (our address), was issued his own
bowl, a new collar, shown the water bowl, and a bed and then took a tour of the yard. He met the other 4 fur
inmates without incident. He is very thin, probably from being in solitary, has a docked tail and front dew claws. As
you can see from his mug shot, he has a ferocious underbite, thus "Jaws". He ate a good hot meal, met the
warden (fosterdad), the physchiatrist, (gramma), the dietician, (old gramma, she feeds them all under the table
during dinner), the prison matron, (resident teenager), and tomorrow will be introduced to the exercise regimen
from fur inmate Sunny who is in charge of the backyard, running and calistetics. Right now, he is enjoying alittle
pro football and rooting for the Patriots to beat the Saints, lights out will be around 10, we will try him out tonight
without putting him in lock down. More to come on this sweet guy.
