UPDATE 5/1/05 - The last year has flown by. However, it seems hard to remember
a time where Zoe was not around. She is full of personality and always makes her
presence known. She loves riding in the car to my mother's house on the weekends,
playing with squeaky toys, and of course playing with Bo. Thank you so much for
making her part of our life.
UPDATED 5/1/04 - Zoe has made a nice adjustment into our home. She has
become very affectionate and loveable. I occasionally get woken up with a 50lb
boxer on top of me giving me kisses. Our previous boxer, Bo has now found the love
of his life. He would not leave her alone the first week. He did anything for her
attention. The two are non-stop, action packed. She is very vocal. I suppose it is a
girl thing. She is definately not hearing impaired. She hears lots of noises and is the
first to respond. She is teaching Bo to be a better watchdog. She had her first day at
dog school. We are happy to report she was not the loudest dog in class. Leave it
was a little difficult. Zoe is obsessed with balls and loves stuffed toys. Who could
resist!!
3/21/04 - Zoe has been adopted!
3/9/04 Hi all you dog lovers out there, my name is Zoe pronounced (zoey).
I am 1 years old and foster mom calls me a "Little Spitfire".
Yes I do have alot of energy, but what do you expect from a young girl like me? I
have to tell you that I just love to play with other dogs. I like to wrestle and play chase
and I can even jump over them like a hurdle. The boys here can get rough with me
when we play outside but I like it.
You know what else I like, children. I can cuddle with them all day. There is a girl
here that I lay on at night and we watch tv in this really big chair. I hear foster mom tell
people how nice I am with kids and she is so happy about that.
Some people say I am deaf but foster mom is not convinced of that.
I am very aware of alot of sounds and I will turn around when you say my name. I will
also sit if you ask me to.
I love to eat and I am a good eater. We get some of the best food in town here, you
could say I'm pretty lucky. I don't get mean if anyone comes near my food, you can
even pull me away from another dogs dish if I try to eat their food. I have never
growled or snapped at anyone, ya I'm a nice girl.
Oh, I have to tell you that I am not good in the crate, I really panick and it makes me
scared. I might be ok for short periods of time but please don't leave me in there for
to long.
I would love to have a family that has another dog to play with. A younger one would
be good because I might wear an older one out.
A fenced in back yard would be a plus since I love to run free and get all that puppy
energy out. Kids would be good too I like to play ball with them.
If you think I would be a good fit for your family let second chance know. Thank you
for taking the time to listen to my story.
Love,
Zoe
2/25/04 Zoe has arrived at the Boxer Beach House safe and sound.
She comes from a shelter in Ma. and it's very obvious she is thrilled
to be out of there.
Zoe is a 1 year old white boxer girl with a little brown patch over one
eye. She is on the smaller side and she has energy to spare.
Her and Oliver have not stopped since she got here.
She's very friendly with the dogs, she has gone down the line and
kissed them all. She was also giving my daughter big kisses, so I guess we
have a boxer kisser on our hands.
She seems to be very sweet so far, they said the same thing at the
shelter. Oh, we're pretty shure she is hearing challenged.
She is showing the same manerisms as Oliver(Macaroni) who is deaf.
Spending more time with her we will be able to see just how deaf she
really is. I will start using some sign language on her to get her
started and ready for her new life.
