UPDATE 7/13/07 - Greetings! Sissy is healthy as ever. She is full of wiggles, happy
snorts, smiles and snuggles. Until next year, wishing you all the very best
UPDATE 711/06 - We can't believe it's been two years since Sissy joined our family. We
recently moved to a nearby town and Sissy has adjusted very well to our new surroundings.
She enjoys walks on her lead with her buddy Clarence but still has a difficult time when
happening upon unfamiliar dogs in the neighborhood. We make every effort to avoid placing
Sissy in an unfamiliar or uncomfortable setting. Sissy just visited the vet for her annual check up
and her vet advised she is very healthy. Sissy is a sweetheart and interacts beautifully with our
young nieces and nephews. Sissy smiles a lot too! When relaxing after a long day, she will
wake from a restful snooze with a big smile. Sissy is a gem and we love her. Until next July, All
the best.
UPDATE 7/15/05 - Good Afternoon, Sissy is doing great! We can't believe a year has gone by
already. Sis went to the vet last month and has a clean bill of health. She is energetic, polite and
just a joy to be with. Sissy has grown quite confident and comfortable. She enjoys her daily
walks and hanging out with family and friends. She really likes playing outside. She has fun
playing frisbee, running with her soccer ball and in the evenings enjoys a snuggle while watching
a good movie. Sis is a source of great happiness to us. We love her dearly. Until next July...
UPDATE 2/1/05 - Happy New Year! Miss Sissy is doing great and had fun this holiday
season. We have finally helped Sissy correct her housetraining problems. After a friendly visit
with our local vet, we discovered that Sis had a urinary tract infection and crystals in her urine.
After treating her condition and changing her diet, Sis hasn't had any accidents in the house for
one month and will now ask to go out when she needs to. This is a terrific achievement for
Sissy. She is more comfortable and proud of herself. Sissy loves to play in the snow and
enjoys accompanying us when snowshoeing in the woods. Sis enjoys playing with her pal,
Clarence but does not tolerate any other animals she is unfamliar with. Sis has recently become
intrigued with Kitty, our 10 year old cat. They had a couple of squabbles at first due to Sissy's
over zealous approach. When together, we monitor them to avoid any potential future
misunderstandings. Until our next update, all the best! The Ahlbergs.
UPDATE 10/27/04 - Good Evening, Sissy has enjoyed hiking in the woods this month. She
makes sure she takes full advantagee in exploring all of the mud puddles in her path. Sissy has
also enjoyed visiting with family, watching the Red Sox, playing with her toys and relaxing on the
couch during these cooler fall evenings. Sis continues to have an occasional accident in the
house but we are patiently working with her to correct this. She is making progress. It's all
good! We'll send along our next update in January. Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday
season, The Ahlbergs.
UPDATE 9/25/04 - Sissy has been doing great! This past month we had a family get together
on Labor Day and Sis really enjoyed playing with our nieces and nephew. Especially Cass who
is 13 months old. Sis was incredibly gentle and loving with Cass. Sis also completed her
obedience training with flying colors. Recently, Sis began having accidents in the house. We are
working on helping her correct her housetraining issues. In addition, Sis has gained weight and
her coat has completely filled in. She is a beauty as well as a joy to be with. She has bonded
with Clarence, our Boston Terrier and the two of them have been spotted snuggling on the
couch together. In short, we are all one big happy family!! Until next month, all the best from
the Ahlbergs.
UPDATE 8/21/04 - Hello all, Sissy has adjusted exceptionally well and is thriving. Initially,
Sissy had some housetraining and health issues. We started Sissy on a daily feeding and walking
schedule. This helped her tremendously as she was housetrained within 3 days!! We visited
our local veterinarian and learned that Sissy had a rather severe case of hook worm. She
received necessary vaccinations, began preventative heartworm medication and was treated for
hook worm and since her visit to the vet, she has put on weight. She seems to feel a lot better.
She has a lot more energy and her coat has filled in. She is such a smart, lovely girl. We began
obedience (clicker) training two weeks ago and she is doing great. Sissy always has a smile,
wiggle and happy snort to share with us and our friends and family. She is a terrific dog and
loves to be around our nieces and nephews when they come to visit. She is playful, but gentle
and loves to be pet. We can't thank you all enough for allowing Sissy to become a very special
addition to our family. We love her to bits. Thanks again and we'll send along an update next
month.
All the best,
The Ahlbergs
UPDATE 7/24/04 - Sissy has been adopted
