5-21-04 - I have made myself at home here in Derry. I have a nice
yard to run around in and my grandma takes me for walks. I walk much
better on a leash than the other boxer who owns this house. He's not
allowed up on the sofa but my beautiful brindle colors blend me right
in and I tuck myself under the pillows... ha ha nobody can see me.
When my foster mom tries to move me I am like a ton of bricks. I am
a very strong handsome man! Oh boy we went for a ride in the car
yesterday to get some yummy treats. My nubbie was waggin'! I was so
excited. I am recovering very well from surgery, you know these
rescues like to take your manhood away. Ha let them try one look
into my eyes and I still have all the girls swooning. well I'll
write more later it's time to eat.
5/16/04 - Shea is a stray male who was thrown out of a car in front of Shea stadium.
Michelle and I drove to Long Island yesterday to pick him and Sparky, an owner surrender,
up. The car ride was long and we kept the dogs seperated. When we stopped we tried to
introduce them but Shea was not ready to do that. It was late when we got home and it was
a little rough trying to bring Shea into the house. He did not like my 2 yr old boxer Joe.
Shea was crated for the night and Joe slept with me. Today I had my dad come over to
help with a slow introduction. It was ok for about two minutes while Shea was occupied
with his new environment. When the dogs were done sniffing each other Shea went after
Joe. One on one with me he is a wonderful dog. He loves to give boxer kissed and lean on
you. He was just fixed and can not have too much excitement for the next week so I know
this will be a very slow process.
