UPDATED 6/23/04 - Sandy has adjusted very smoothly into our household. My kids
absolutely adore her and are always giving her big hugs. Sandy came to us already knowing
some commands and the ability to walk on a least so bringing her to obedience class can
only expound on what she already knows. One thing I found with our little angel is that she is
very inquisitive if there is food on the counter....I guess no one really wanted those
hamburgers anyway:)
Sandy has just been a great all around dog and addition to our family. Its always nice to
come home and have her tail wagging when you walk through the door as to say "I missed
you!"
5/21/04 - Sandy was adopted!
I don't know if she knows any commands yet, she's still too scared. She is doing alright, but
she hasn't eaten food, only treats, and is very scared of me but she does seem to like my
kids and John! And she's met both Blaze and Sebastian and has been fine with them so far,
she isn't too interested in them yet, just sniffs them and then walks away. She does have a
bit of a sharing food issue with other dogs, has growled at Sebastian when he got too close
to her while she was eating a biscuit in the crate, but doesn't seem to care if humans are near
her while eating. Hopefully I'll be able to get her to eat food soon and I will test her with
that.
