UDPATE 9/25/06 -  I can't believe that it been 2 years already, it seems like just yesterday we were
driving to Maine to pick her up!  She still has a stubbon streak that would make a mule proud (just
like all bullmastifs), but most of the time she accepts that I'm in charge (although grudgingly) and she
hasn't won a battle of wills with me yet.

She and her brother continue to get along great.

At the end of August we had a Melanocytoma tumor removed from her sholder area.  Thankfully,
everything was benign.  Although she has become a favorite at the vets, it must be her crooked ears

UPDATE 9/25/05 - Hi all,  Sally Brown here.  Well it's been a whole year since I came to live here in
my forever home.   I've had a pretty exciting year here in Massachusetts.  I've done a few BRAD's,
and met some other SCBR babies.  I can do without the other dogs, but I love all the belly rubs I get
when we do the BRADs.  Mum says we get to do another one next month maybe.  I've gone to a
dairy farm in upstate NY, where I met my cousin, Zeus.  We got along great and I can't wait to go
back!  I also went to school, and passed with flying colors (mum thinks I had been before, dad thinks
I'm a genius).  Mum still says that I am the most stubborn dog she has ever met,( it must be the
Mastiff in me,) but I know that I don't get my treat if I don't do what she says.

A few months ago, mom and dad went to Maine for the day and came home with a new brother for
me.  I wasn't sure about him at first, but we get along great now.  Mum says that I must have the
patience of a saint, 'cause Buster can be a little rude sometimes.

During the day, when mum and dad are at work, I get to laze around on the bed and survey my little
kingdom.

All in all, it's been a great year and I am so happy my mum and dad found me!  I love living with them,
and I guess I'll keep them.

Thank you SCBR for helping me find my forever home!

UPDATE 3/28/05 - I can't believe that 6 months have gone by already!  Sally has had a fairly busy 6
months.  We've completed obediance class, and she did very well.  I suspect she has been in the past
as she already knew the commands (either that or our Sally is a genius!), she is however VERY
stubborn.

Sally has also done 2 BRADs with us and enjoys all the attention she gets.  The last time she was
laying on her back with all four legs in the air while 3 or 4 people rubbed her belly!

This past weekend we took Sally to John's sister and brother-in-law's farm in upstate NY.  Sally had
a great time with her "cousin" Zeus.  They ran and played for hours. It did make my sister-in-law a
little nervous when she saw "boxer playing", which looks even rougher when being executed by a
100lb Boxer/Mastiff mix!  John and I are quite pleased that she and Zeus got along great as Sally
tends to be somewhat aggressive when meeting another dog while on her leash.  She seems to be
much more tolerant of males than females, so I guess it's a brother of Sally Brown when the time
comes.

Sally is still a bit timid upon meeting strangers but she warms up very quickly once we tell her it's ok.

UPDATE 10/26/04 - Well, it's been a month since Sally's
been with us but it feels like she has always been here.  Sally has had a
fairly busy month, she has met all kinds on new people and she has been
adjusting very nicely to new people coming to visit.  We have found out that
she does not like the policemen that come to the door.  (John is an ex-cop
not a criminal, so a lot of our friends are cops.)

Sally has also been to meet her new vet adn she even went on her, and our,
first home check.  I guess she thought they "passed" as she wasted no time
locating their spare room, jumped up on the bed and took a nap.
The only problem we are experiencing with Sally, is that she seems to suffer
from a bit of seperation anxiety and messes on the rug.  We will have to
start limiting her to the kitchen for the time being to see how that goes.

9/25/04 - Sally Brown has been adopted!

Hi all,  I have a boxer mix here that is really sweet check her out!  The boys and their friends named
her, they were so proud of themselves I didn't have the heart to tell them to come up with a more
original name.  She is a 2 year old mix she is from a shelter in Northern Maine.  She is a large sized
girl, might have some mastiff in her.  So far she is great with the kids, tolerates the other dogs well.
She wants to play but just not sure exactly what she is supposed to do so would rather just be with
them for companionship when outside in the yard.  She has had a lot of attention at one time in her life
as she know quite a few commands.  She sits, downs, sits up to beg, does paw with either paw and
rolls over.  She is quite a puller on the leash so a gentle leader is recommended.  Sally has a really
sweet temperment and just needs a family to call her own to be happy.  If you think you have room in
your life for this girl get that application in right away.
