UPDATED 5/10/04 - Well, Rosie is having the time of her
life.  She is a total nut!  She reminds us of a Mexican Jumping bean.  When
she gets excited she seems to just bound off of the ground with all 4 legs
in the air!  And what a runner!  She absolutely loves to play ball in the
backyard.  I think once we get through Basic Obedience, we may have a
candidate for an agility class!  She and Jack just have a ball playing
together in the yard. And she is certainly a kisser.  Nice wet ones!  She loves giving
kisses to the baby but she is beginning to understand when our daughter has had enough.
We begin training this week so we are hoping to correct some behaviors such as the
horrendous counter-surfing!  We wouldn't know what to do without our Rosie!

UPDATED 3/3/04 - It has been a little over a month, and our little Rosie is right at
home, with her brother Jack, her new kitty "friend" (I use the term friend loosely) Meiko,
and our 17 mo old daughter. Within minutes of meeting our skin kid, she had a bright
red rash on her face because Rosie overloaded her with kisses!  But that doesn't stop
her from trying to give Rosie hugs and kisses of her own!  Rosie LOVES to give kisses.
Everytime that someone glances her way, she goes CRAZY!!  Big boxer wiggles, and
lots of love! She is having the time of her life with her new toys, especially when we
throw a ball around in the back yard.  She has, on occassion, taken a liking to some of
our daughter's toys.  In fact, a few weeks ago we heard the baby's toy cell phone ringing
from another room, and we couldn't understand why, as the baby was with us.  Upon
further inspection we realized that Rosie thought the phone was fun to play with as well!
As I am writing this I actually had to get up to see what all of the ruckus
was in the other room.  Rosie and Jack had decided to play "chase" around the coffee
table in the living room.  Imagine my entertainment as I watch my 2 dogs and husband
engage in a good old game of chase!  And when Rosie gets excited, as she is running
and jumping around, she does this sort of hop that reminds me of a bunny!  LOL Rosie
is a complete joy.  No matter what is going on, you can always count on her to come
and give you kisses.  And to think that this is only the beginning!
