2/6/04 - This lady is an absolute doll!! She's well-mannered, quiet, house broken and just
loves
attention. She and Ginger get along very well and run up and down the back yard. Duke
can
be a real pain sometimes-he will snap & snarl at  her if she gets within 15 feet of his food -
and
that's after he's eaten it all! I think he just likes to be a snot now and again. Poor little girl,
she
just cowers right to the floor when he does it. Sometimes she'll go upstairs and sleep on
my adult
son's bed and Duke doesn't seem to mind. Sometimes she and Ginger will sleep on my
bed, but
most of the time she seems to prefer staying downstairs on the couch. We have a lot of
toys for
the dogs and she really likes to chew the Nyla bones. She sits, she downs, she stays, she
gives her
paw and as soon as she comes in from outside, she sits and waits for a cookie. She's a
real pleasure
to have. We took her to Vermont 2 weeks ago and she rode very well. None of them
liked being
outside up there - it was -27 degrees and the wind was blowing. Their poor little hands
and feet
were frozen. She's just really a good girl. I took her to my vet & he proclaimed her in
excellent health.
If she has any bad habits, she's keeping them a secret.

1/9/04 - Thought I'd let you know how Sassy is doing. We just can't call her Princess -
that's a little
white fluffy thing with a bow. She seems to be doing fine with the name Sassy. We tried to
keep the S
sound so she would not be too confused. She's doing well. Duke seems to be resigned to
the
fact that there is another one in the house. She and Ginger have become best play
buddies. They run up
and down the back yard. Of course, it's been a bit too cold the last few days so they have
tried to play
in the house. That's when Duke gets a little nervous. All things considered, she is doing
very well.

She's a very sweet little girl and has wonderful manners. Completely housebroken, hasn't
made one mistake
in the house, asks to go out, doesn't chew anything and is very affectionate. She has
already found her spot
on my bed. She and Ginger are very good about sharing space on the bed. The first night
she was with us
she had me up at 3 AM to go out. She had taken on a lot of water so I wasn't surprised.
Since that night
she has slept through and been quiet as a mouse. She had her rabies shot Tuesday and
also had
an exam. She has a couple of little fatty tumors but other than that, the vet found her in
excellent health.
She would like a bit more weight on her but felt that will come in time.  Poor little girl is
probably so scared
and wondering what happened to her.

Princess has arrived at Crazy Acres. She is a healthy 9 yr old brindle girl. She is in great
shape. Princess was picked up as a stray. She is super friendly, great in the car and loves
everyone she meets. We will up date you as we get to know her.
