UPDATE 4/28/08 - Poxy has been with us for 4 years now! He is doing excellent and
loves life! Poxy & friends still go to the beach, on the boats, car rides for ice cream
and many more things! He is healthy and happy. He loves to cuddle on the couch and
pass out! Poxy was the perfect match for our family and we are so thankful for all the
people at Second Chance for matching us up with our boy! Keep up the great work!

UPDATE 11/10/05 - Hello everyone! I know Poxy isn't due for an update yet but, we
thought we should let you know how he's doing! Poxy is doing awsome! He has finally
reached his goal weight, thank goodness no more ribs are showing! He's actually on the
'plump' side, he looks great! His health is great! Over the summer he and Madison(The
love of his life) went to the beach and stayed over at the cottage and also on the
sailboat! They are still going to work with me, which I absolutely love! They have so
much fun, they run and play then jump on the couch and take a much needed nap!
They are both absolutely awsome with my 8 month old son, Ethan! I have some really
adorable pictures of this,Poxy & Madison sleep on our bed and my son does too, but
when he goes to bed he always crawls over to one of the dogs and falls asleep on
them!
It's the sweetest thing I've ever seen! I trust these guys, they've been awsome with
every child that they've met.
Poxy & Madison now have another playmate! His name is Sammy, he's a boxer,
appx. 1 1/2 years old and we helped him out of a terrible situation! He is extremely
under weight and was being physically abused also. He was locked in a create (which
was way too small) for 7 or more hours a day and if he wasn't in the crate he was
locked in the kitchen and when
he went outside they used a prong choker caller and put him on a runner! Extreme heat
or freezing he was sometimes put outside early morning and brought in late at night!
Thank God that we were able to help him and that all the kids get along! We say that
Poxy is the dad, Madison is the mom and Sammy is the child! They are getting along
great and we are
grateful for all three of them! We hope all is well and have a great holiday season!
UPDATE 5/23/05 - I cannot believe it's been over a year. It feels like Poxy has been
a part of the family forever! Poxy is so loved! We have a new human addition to the
family, he's now 2 1/2 months old. Both poxy and Madison are so good with him. The
day we brought Ethan home from the hospital both of the dogs jumped on the couch
and stared at him as if they were saying, It took you long enough to get here! They are
a little more protective now when strangers are around the baby which is very
reassuring to me! These 2 dogs are a match made in Heaven!! They have gone to the
beach a few times so far this spring and have stayed on the sailboat too! Oh, my, Poxy
has found his favorite toy, It's an orange construction cone! He will roll the cone
around and around! It's the funniest thing. I hope the weather gets nicer soon so that
they can go to Boaderland park and socalize with all the other dogs! Poxy's health is
great, we just went the other day for his rabies shot and his weight is perfect according
to the Doc. We want to say Thank You again for taking the time to find the 'perfect'
boy for us! He and Madison are so happy together! They're a great team! If you have

UPDATE 11/12/04 - Poxy is doing awsome! sorry this is so
late, we've had some major computer problems over the last 3 weeks! Poxy is
almost done with his obedience classes!! He's doing super! One of the kids
has been working on "paw" with him and he's got it down pat now! He is still
in love with his buddy Madison and they see eack other every day! Poxy goes
to Madison's house to play after work alot too! Poxy is great with the cats
now, instead of pinning them in a corner to see what type of reaction he'll
get out of them that day he very nicely watches them and eventually they
start to pur and rub up against his front legs! He gets the biggest charge
out of it! Training has helped in so many ways, no more pulling, no more
torturing cats, you could drop a ham on the floor and as long as you tell
them to "leave it" they do! The dogs go for walks all the time and he loves
the horses! Poxy has been putting on weight slowly but he looks so much
healthier and happier! His little nub is always wagging! Everyone loves him!
5/14/04 - Poxy has been adopted!
5/6/04- Poxy is short for Apocalypse...Poxy is much more reserved than his clown of
a brother Moo-Moo. He is very playful and sweet...loves to give little kisses..he is
overshadowed by Moo-Moo's personality a bit and takes second chair when eating or
playing. Poxy is very nervous in meeting people and with new situations...He is at the
vet's being updated on shots and having a nip & tuck...Poxy is a handsome fawn &
white boy with natural ears and a docked tail...more to come as we get to know this
puppy boy better!!
